Babb goes 6 and gets the win, Wisner to close it down in the seventh to give Somerville the sweep. Driscoll, Scioli, and Dziuba had 2 RBI a piece. Dziuba hit a HR. Driscoll and Dziuba went a combined 15-21 with 8 runs scored and 11 RBI this series.

Foundas vs. Middleton at St. Pete's. Somerville jumps out in the first with 5 runs on 7 hits. Middleton settled in and only let up one more run in the 4th but the 6 was enough. Dziuba led the way offensively with a 2-3 night driving in 3. Foundas went 5, Dumas pitched the sixth and Wisner closed it down in the seventh. Hats off to the Somerville staff tonight, as all three battled a tough Medford lineup all night. Game 3 set to go at Trum tomorrow night 8pm start. |

Marc DesRoches starts the series off throwing 5 strong innings allowing only one hit. Jay Wisner throws 2 strong innings to follow to put Somerville up 1-0 in the series. Justin Crisafulli lead the offense with a long homerun and drove in 4 on the night. Teddy Dziuba had a 3-4 night driving in 3 and Bernie Driscoll had a 3-4 night scoring 3 runs. Stoneham Sabers 3, Medford Maddogs 2
Ryan Flanagan goes the distance to help the Sabers pick up their 11th win of the season.
Angelo Colucci's game winning RBI in the bottom of the third to score Sean Ruderman gave the Sabers enough to defeat the Maddogs. Kris Camelio had a clutch RBI bunt to to tie the game in the bottom of the first. Ryan Flanagan had the first RBI of the game. Greg Dubela also had a couple of hits for the Sabers.
Ryan Flanagan pitched yet another great game for Stoneham. Picking up his fourth win of the season. Flanagan struck out 9 Maddog batters and only let up four hits through 7 innings. Flanagan's offense stayed hot as it has all season and got a couple of hits and a RBI of his own.
Zelnick stayed sharp at shortstop for Stoneham.

Sox score early and tack on a couple late to move one step closer to clinching the division.
Matt Nicholson earns the victory with an 82 pitch shut out. The Sox hits were spread out amongst six players with Kyle Ross collecting two.
Zach Rubin pitched well going the distance for Medford, while Greg Wilson and Matt Delany each had two hits.

The Maddogs woke up the bats tonight. DH, Talal Saleh had 4 hits, Marty Dunlap had 3 hits and scored twice, Matt Mahoney had 3 hits, including his first home run of the season. Buddy Hanley had 2 hits and 4 RBI's. Both Delaney brothers, Matt and Mike each had two hits.
Dave "Satchel Paige" Hanley went 0 for 4, but had a walk and knocked in a run, not bad at 4 weeks shy of 54.
Once again Mike "The Horse" Victory went the distance striking out 6 along the way. |

McKay Club Beacons 10, Medford Maddogs 0
The Beacons rebounded after Sunday's loss to post their 25th win of the season. Thomas Fitzpatrick had a night for himself on the mound with 4 shutout innings and 7 K's while Lippi and Pelletier finished it off with a combined two scoreless.
The Beacons offense exploded with 4 triples in the 2nd, a 3-4 night by the league leader in almost everything (Curran), 2-3 with extra bases (Barthel), 2-3 with a 3B (McKay) and 2-4 (Mattei and Lerro) to plate 10 and secure the #1 seed in the 2011 Yawkey League playoffs.
This one started by Jackie Owens, "1, 2, 3...KILL" for our teammate and the Nathan Horton of the McKay Club, Connor Reinfurt!

Medford Maddogs 5, Savin Hill Hornets 3
Down 3-0 going into the 7th the Maddogs fought all the way back scoring 5 times to take the win.
Brad McLean went the distance in a gutty performance, striking out 8, walking 2 and allowing only 5 hits and 1 earned run.
Pete Byron led the defense with two hits and two walks. Matt Delaney also had two hits.
Anderson pitched very well for Savin Hill striking out 11. |

The Maddogs jumped on the back of their pitchers once again and won their 7th game of the season by one run.
Blaine McLean went 5 and 1/3 and picked up his 3rd win of the season. Mike, The Horse, Victory picked up the save pitching the final inning and 2/3's.
Josh,The Hitdog,Rodriguez went 2-2 with a double to lead the offense. |

Savin Hill Hornets 7, Medford Maddogs 5
Alex Criscuolo and Zach Rubin hooked up in a pitcher's duel Saturday afternoon at Playstead Park.
Sean Gordan's rbi single drew first blood in the top of the 4th, but Paul Jaglowski's 2-run double in the bottom on the inning put the Maddogs ahead until the 7th.
After Mike Bivas lead off the inning by getting hit by the pitch, Dave Clarke hit a ball into the hole at short. The throw to second ended up in right field and the runners at 2nd and 3rd base with no outs. After single to tie the game by Pat McClay and a double by Gary Kaye to take the lead, the Hornet bats didn't stop til 6 runs had crossed the plate. The Maddogs rallied with 3 of their own in the bottom of the inning, but closer Matt Chase closed the door. |

Mike Victory pitched well into the 5th but got no defensive support (6 errors). Brad Mclean came in and ended the final 2 and 2/3's with 8 K's to record his second win of the season.
The offense was sparked by the Delaney brothers. Matt had two hits and two RBI's while Mike finished the night with three hits and two RBI's. |
