Boston Havoc 3, Merrimack Valley Marlins 2
The Havoc catch the big one and beat the Marlins 3-2 to remain undefeated.
The Havoc were once again led by strong pitching and timely hitting. SP John Medina worked thru 6 innings, allowing just one hit and 1 walk while surrendering 2 unearned runs.
The Marlins received a strong start from rookie Kyle Shedden, who was able to work out of two first-and-second, no out jams. He could not escape the third one though as the Havoc pushed thru with 3 runs in the bottom of the sixth to take a 3-2 lead.
Nate Perkins followed up his strong performance the day prior with the clutch game tying hit to right field before a vintage Omar Ortiz base knock gave the Havoc the lead.
In the next half inning, Nate Perkins then took to the bump and retired the side in order with 2 Ks to earn the save. |
