Bill Beauchesne (1-0)tosses six innings enroute to his first win for the Rockies. The offense was highlighted with timely back-to-back homers by Kevin Spitz (2) and Dan Jalbert (1) in the fifth which gave the Rockies back the lead. Three insurance runs were added in the sixth on back to back bases loaded singles by Moran and Cooper. Mike McCarthy closed things out in style, striking out the side to end the game in the seventh.
