The Royals picked up their second win in a row Sunday defeating division rivals the Quincy Pirates 4-2 in Boston. Ryan Bowen took to the mound and delivered another solid performance going 6 innings picking up the win allowing just 2 runs (1 earned). Mike McKie and Scott Weber picked up RBI singles early in the game and Ryan Ritell drove in two with a bases loaded single in the 5th inning. Closer Eddie Lockhart picked up his second save of the season pitching a scoreless seventh. Yesterday was Lockhart's 45th career appearence on the mound for the Royals and passes Jimmy Selig (44) for the most games pitched in Royals history. |
