Harbor Point Dodgers 6, Brighton Black Sox 1
The Dodgers scored early and often to get out in front of the Brighton Black Sox in what would be a rain-shortened game at Rogers Park. Kyle Breidenstine (W, 3-1) pitched all 5 innings for the Dodgers, allowing 3 hits and 1 unearned run while walking 3 and striking out 7 in the 6-1 win.
Harbor Point SS Jerrad Ryan (3-3, 2 R, SB) and 2B Gregg Smith (3-3, 3B, 2 RBI) led the offense with big nights. LF Steve Walsh (1-3, R), CF Jay Shatto (1-3, 2 R, 2B, HBP) and rookie RF Kevin Skop (1-3, 2 RBI) all played great games for the Dodgers. The top 5 in the Dodger' order were relentless all afternoon, while C Bryan Duffy added a sac-fly RBI and called a great game behind the plate.
The game was called in the Dodgers half of the 6th inning, when lightning and rain forced the stoppage. |
