The Dodgers score 5 runs in the 1st inning again as they move to 3-0 at Ronan Park, with a 9-5 win over Chelsea. C Steve DeFusco (3-3, R, 2 2B, BB, SB, 2RBI) led the Harbor Point offense and Marc Skipper (W, 1-0) pitched 3.1 innings of 1 hit, 2 K, 1 walk ball in relief to get the win.
Six Dodgers had hits, including CF Steve Walsh (1-4, R, BB) and 3B Matt Grimes (1-4, 2 RBI) keeping their 4-game hitting streaks alive. LF Joe Patrolia (2-3, R, 2 RBI), DH Jay Shatto (1-3, R, 2 SB, RBI) and SS Jerrad Ryan (1-2, 2 R, 2 BB) also had great days at the plate.
RP Steve Cobb came on in relief of starter Nick Bennett with the bases loaded and 2 outs in the 3rd, getting the 1st batter he faced to keep the Dodgers up 5-2. Skipper returned the favor in the 4th, leaving 3 Cyclones on the bases in keeping a 5-4 lead.
