Rookie Dan McCarthy made his first YBL hit a memorable one as he singled home Jim Flavin with the winning run in the bottom of the 7th. West Roxbury climbed back with 3 runs in the top of the 7th to take a 6-5 lead. Greg Lovely tripled to open the last frame for Al Thomas and scored on a bloop single by Jim Flavin to tie the game. Matt Hallisey followed with a single and both runners moved up on a ground out to first. McCarthy then laced a 1-1 pitch into the hole at short for the game winner. John Kostas picked up the win, scattering a plethora of hits and fanning 8 in the complete game.
