Mark Desroches pithced great going 5 strong innings allowing no runs on 2 hits . Mike Powers closed out the game with 2 scoreless innings in relief. Dave Scioli led the hitting with 2 hits including a double and rbi while Tom McDonough also added 2 doubles. |

Somerville with something to prove. Showed why they own the last 6 championships. Posting a 10 spot in the fourth inning, highlighted by a blast off the bat of Dave Scioli(GS) to cap the 10 run outburst.
Steve Szathmary pitched the first 5 inning allowing 1 unearned run. Paul Gately pitched the 6th and Bernie Driscoll(Mr.Tenth Player) tossed the 7th.
Both teams did show some playoff nerves with 7 errors being committed. |

The Bluefish 4 runs came on 4 hits, a walk, and a hit by pitch. Al Becker had 2 hits to lead the Bluefish. Black Sox starter Randy Geise pitched very well in taking the no decision, going 6+ innings, giving up 4 hits, 3 runs (2 earned), while walking 3 and striking out 6. Bluefish starter Bill Beauchesne pitched well, keeping the Fish within striking distance, going 5 1-3 innings, giving up 6 hits, 4 runs (3 earned), while walking 3 and striking out 7. Closer Kit Kadlec got the win. |

After a slow start the Braves bounced back with 15 hits and 11 runs for the win over the Black Sox. Scott Wentworth racked up 4 hits, 4 runs and 3 stolen bases. Sheridan, Ouellette, Feeley and Hannon all had 2 hits apiece.
The Black Sox gave the Braves a scare in the 7th. With Brooks-Ransdell tiring they scored 3 runs to pull within one. With 2 outs and men on second and third, Pete Sheridan made a spectacular catch in center to rob Darwin Hernandez of extra bases to end the game. |

Offense was provided again by the table setters(Kevin White and Tom McDonough) reaching base safely 6 out 9 times scoring 4 runs. Bernie Driscoll drove in two runs with a clutch based load single in the seveth inning to break the game open. |
