Family bragging rights were on the line as the Hosea brothers faced off against each other at Rogers. Ryan (McKay Club) only allowed 3 hits and 1 ER over 4 innings but did not factor into the decision.
After allowing 3 runs on 5 hits in the first 3 innings, Joey (Braves) settled down by cruising through the last 4 innings allowing only one more hit and fanning 9 (13 total Ks). The Braves offense was led by Ted Tracy's 2-out double in the 4th, eventually scoring the game tying run, followed by patience at the plate in the 7th. Robb led off the 7th with a hit followed by two strikeouts. The next 3 batters all walked on 3-2 counts to secure the walk-off victory.
