Another solid pitching performance from Burgos with 11 k's in the complete game effort. After doing some major work to the plate and dealing with an umpire quitting, the game finally got under way after a 45 minute delay. Cannon got on the board in the 4th after a Rad Baez sac bunt moves runners over and Iuliano has a big 2 out hit to drive in Dwyer. TJO had runners on third in the 2nd, 3rd, and 6th innings but Burgos and the defense help them there as they were unable to score. Desai adds some insurance in the 6th with a solo blast.

Can anyone stop Towne Club? This one was closer than they had hoped, but Towne was able to combine timely hitting and clutch pitching to topple TJO. Newly appointed BAO operations analyst Connor Farrell continues his impressive 2017 campaign, laboring through 4 innings, allowing 3 earned runs. Despite trailing early, Towne supplied a 5-run 4th inning, pulling them ahead. Just when they were starting to feel comfortable, some defensive mistakes and a Danny Rose 2-run home run pulled TJO within 1. Colin Ward, however, refused to see the win streak snapped, and closed out the game with 3 scoreless innings of relief. "Greek God of Walks" Alex Venditti reached base 4 times, including a double off the right field wall. Grant Bowen reached safely 3 times, and sent a towering shot off the light pole over the fence at Catholic Memorial. Both players had 'special someones' in the crowd, which may explain their offensive boosts.
