Somerville wins Championship #12!!!
Sullivan gets his 3rd win of the post season and makes him 10-0 on the year. He went a strong 6 with Dumas well deservingly getting the 7th to close out #12. Between Sullivan and Foundas they were 22-2 on the year and 7-0 when it counted in the post-season!
Dziuba and Foundas were co-MVP's of the playoffs. Dziuba led us offensively (.529BA, 14 RBI) all post season. Every player contributed to the success this post season and has always been whats attributed to being an Alibrandi.
Hats off to Justin Crisafulli on a brilliant career. We were and always will be proud to play alongside you for all these years.
Somerville would like to thank Tony Alibrandi, the Alibrandi front office, The YBL board, Stu and all our fans who come each and every night to support us. Lastly and most important, a special thank you to all our better halfs who support us each and every day in the summer! |

Dont even know where to begin or end. Heavyweight fight with both teams taking punch after punch and still standing tall. Both teams walking away with the feeling of that was the best baseball game they have ever played in. More web gems to save runs or prevent something from starting than has been seen all year. Wish everyone could of been there to witness the two best teams in the YBL go at it in game four.
Web Gem plays made by E. Tardugno, Brown, Scioli, Driscoll. Great pitching and getting out of crazy jams by Dicato, Shanahan, Babb, Wisner, and Foundas. This game had it all. Dziuba with big hits as he has been clutch all post season. Mendonca starting a rally after being robbed by E. Tardugno.
Foundas moves to 4-0 on the post season and 12-2 on the year.
Game 5 at Trum Field Tuesday night at 8PM. Somerville leads series 3-1. |
