Mike "Oakie" O'Connor was the offense Somerville needed going 2-2 driving in 4 with a clutch 2 out bases clearing triple in the 5th inning. Also Frank "Tank" McPherson had a 2rbi double in the 2nd to start the day off for Alibrandis.

Somerville leads the series 2-1 with game 4 tomorrow night at Trum field 8pm start.

Kyle Breidenstine pitches his 5th complete game of the season and the Dodgers get just enough to edge the A's, 3-2. Breidenstine (W, 6-2) scattered 6 hits while striking out 5 and walking 1 in his 3rd straight complete-game win.

A's starter Joe Carrig (L, 3-1) pitched a solid complete-game (7 H, 3 ER, 5 K, 1 BB), allowing only 3 1st inning runs. Dodger SS Jerrad Ryan led the game off with a walk, and after a Jay Shatto HBP, Dodger rookie 1B Nick Tapper singled in Ryan for a 1-0 lead. Shatto scored on a wild pitch, and Tapper scored on a Joe Patrolia (2-for-3) single. Dodger rookie RF Kevin Skop also went 2-for-3, adding a double.

For the A's RF Chris McDonough went 2-3 with a double, C Brendan Wheeler had a hit, and Schindler had a 2-RBI single. 3B Mark Daly made 2 great plays at the hot corner in a very well played game by both clubs.

Jon Tenney pitched well in a losing effort and Greg Harjula ripped 2 hits to lead the Saints.

Brewers survive a true pitchers' due, plating the winning run in the bottom of the 7th. Both Troy Sainsbury (Brewers) and Ben Howrigan (A's) were exceptional in their complete game efforts, allowing just one run each through 6.

In the top of the 7th Sainsbury worked out of a 2-out jam, collecting his 6th K of the night to strand 2 runners in scoring position. The Brewers then collected 3 consecutive singles to start the bottom of the inning. With the bases loaded, Mike Maguire worked a 7-pitch walk to plate the winning run.

Solid pitching and defense was the story of this game. Marc Hordon continued a strong season, going 3-3 on the night.

Al Thomas was down (5-2) but not out in the top of the 7th. The A's took advantage of 3 McKay Club walks a huge error to score 4 "go ahead" runs. A's catcher Wheeler (3-3 3RBI) smashed a tremendous solo homer off Brian Curran in the 4th, but that was all the scoring Al Thomas could manage until they plated a single run in the 6th.

The Beacons left 12 men on base, but took and held the lead until the 4 run uprising. They were good enough but fortunate to pull this one off. After Tom Michael K'd - #9 batter Frank Yavorski and Drew Tambling stuck singles. Dan Ciocca walked and the tying run was forced in when Mike Barthel was hit by a pitch. Connor Reinfurt hit a towering pop up behind SS that was misplayed and Tambling came scampering home with the winner.

Jack Owens went 3 for 3 with a double and an RBI. barthel had 3 RBI and Yavorski went 2 for 4 with an RBI for the Beacons.

Dodger starter Chris Michienzi throws a complete-game shutout in his first start of the year, and Bryan Duffy had 3 RBI as Harbor Point defeats the A's 7-0.

After 2 one-out A's singles in the top of the 1st, Michienzi settled down, getting the next two batters and scattering 3 hits the rest of the way while striking out 7 and walking none.

The Dodgers would score 5 runs in the bottom of the 1st after 2 costly errors. Dodger catcher Bryan Duffy (2-3, 2B, 3 RBI) led the HP offense while also playing a great game behind the plate. Six other Dodgers added hits in a total team effort.

Al Thomas 3B Ricky Salvucci had 2 hits for the A's. Starter Dan Gaughan takes a tough loss, allowing only 2 ER and striking out 7 in 4 innings of work.
