The White Sox completed the series sweep against the Marlins in convincing fashion as they scored 4 in the first and never looked back. Ivan Clemente scored five runs from the leadoff spot while going 2 for 3 with a double and 3 HBPs. Will Bissonette was also swinging a hot stick going 3 for 3 with 3 walks and 3 runs scored. Biss also had a very busy day in the field with 8 assists and 3 put outs. Tom Spoth (2 for 4, 5RBI) and Jason Hoye (3 for 5, 4 RBI) were the reason for most of the runs as they drove in 9 runs between them. Hoye added a terrific diving grab in the 3rd to rob Katz of a hit. On the mound Dave Martin pitched a solid 5 innings. Dave yielded only 2 hits and 1 unearned run while picking up the W for the Sox. Matt LoPresti and Matt Smith each threw and inning to close things out for the Sox. For the Marlins, the lone bright spot was Paul Bracco's perfect day at the plate. Bracco went 2 for 2 with a run scored.

Ivan, Hoye and Spoth made sure the runs were coming in bunches for the Sox.
