In what has to go down as one of the best games in BMBL post-season history, Mark Krukonis and Steve Donovan both go the distance on the hill, with Donnie the tough luck loser giving up a run in the top of the 13th inning. Krukonis fanned 9 while only yielding 4 singles and one walk. This writer was fortunate enough to be the battery-mate of the masterful performance. Donnie was his usual stellar self, only surrendering 6 hits and fanning 9 himself. Smeglin made a couple of spectacular plays at 3rd. With one out in the top of the 13th, Roy Chabra hit a long double off the fence in left. John Gainey walked and Rick Swanson hit into a fielders choice, setting up a 1st and 3rd situation with two outs. Tony Anderlionis then put down a perfectly placed bunt along the third base line for a base hit, plating the winning run. These games are why we play. Great pitching and flawless D.
