CC goes up 5-0 on a couple of early rallies with RBI doubles from Campana and Sheppela. Trailing 5-1, Wayland scores 5 in the 6th on 3 hits, 2 walks and a huge infield throwing error with the bases jammed. Trailing 6-5 with 2 outs and nobody on in the bottom of the 7th, CC rallies with 2 singles. Sheppela then hits a squib in front of the plate - on a difficult play the catcher throws high to first and the ball gets away - tying run scores. Campana bloops one into right for the gamewinner. exciting game but a bit ugly at times. Manning gets the W, McDonald takes the hard luck loss - both pitch very well.
