The White Sox win a hard fought series in 3 behind a complete game masterpiece by 2009 Cy Young winner Rich Wlodarczyk. Wlod scattered 3 hits over 7 while striking out 11.

After giving up 1 in the first, Neil Doherty held the Sox in check until the 5th. The Rangers tied the game in the third on a Timothy Sheflin RBI single.

With 2-outs in the 5th, series MVP TJ Gardner smacked an RBI double. The Sox would build on their lead in the 6th with RBI doubles from Jon Pollard and Mike Morgan.

The Rangers were a tough opponent. Chris Plant, hands down the best defensive shortstop in the league, had a tremendous series, as did Andy Katz in the field and at the plate. Dan Lambrecht showed an iron arm, pitching effectively in all 3 games.

Ivan Clemente, Morgan, and Gardner each had 4 hits in the 3-game series. Gardner drove in 5 runs and hit 3 doubles. Each double put the White Sox ahead in each game, 2 were game winners.
