The Brewers worked their way back to win in extra innings against Cambridge. Jeremy Dalton collected 9 Ks in his complete game victory. Mike Dibiase paced the offense with a homer, double, and 3 RBI. Alcott kept the Brewers bats at bay through 3 innings and also contributed 2 hits and 2 runs to the offensive effort. |

Cambridge settled down for Game #2. Luke Guarino got things done on the hill for the Rockies, with his first complete game of the season. Guarino spins a gem, pitching a complete game 3-hitter with nine K's en route to the shutout. Frank Ciampa had two hits on the afternoon, and Mitrou drove in two. |

Rockies take game #1 of a double header by a landslide. The offense was unstoppable, as was Tom Levett on the mound. The heart of the order was key as Conner and Spitz each had 3 hits, scored a combined 7 runs and knocked in 3 a piece. Moran also had 3 RBI to go along with his pair of hits and Dave Mitrou chipped in with a double, a single and two spectacular diving catches in center. Levett went the distance, striking out 10 and scattering 5 hits. Neil had two of the 5 knocks for Cambridge. |

The Braves battled back scoring 2 runs in the top of the 7th for the win over the Spinners. With 2 outs in the inning, the bases loaded and the runners on the move, Mozill chopped a slow grounder to 2nd but the throw got past the first baseman which plated the tying and winning runs.
O'Malley threw 6 innings allowing 2 ER on 6 hits, 2 BB and 3 SO. Powers-Patey came in the 7th to close things out with a 1-2-3 inning for his 5th Save.
Mike Neil led the Spinner offense with 2 hits. JM Doerr got the tough luck loss for the Spinners giving up 0 ER with 5 hits, 4 BB and 3 SO. |

With 2 outs in the botton of the 7th and Zack Thompson on third, Matt Savage hit a chopper to third beating it out at first with a head first slide!
A great game on both sides. Tardugno had 10 K's and will be undergoing arthroscopic surgery in the morning!. Good luck Evan! |

Sean Morrissey pitched well and took a 6-3 lead into the 7th inning. Cambridge took advantage of a couple of errors and banged out 3 hits to tie the game.
With the bases loaded and one out, Kenny Luongo came in and on the first pitch got a line drive to right fielder, Lucas Einstein, who threw out the runner tagging from third to preserve the tie.
Johnny Cunningham led off the 8th with his second hit of the night, advanced to third on Luongo's second ground rule double and third hit of the night, and scored what proved to be the winning run on Joe Sheehan's sacrifice fly.
Maguire hit his first home run of the season and scored three times. |

Cambridge Spinner's ace R.Casey's slurve was down right nasty as he spun 12 strike outs and dazzled the mystified Hornet hitters.
But Hornet pitcher Jay "Doctor" Sholl was operating on his own gem of a game throwing a shutout until the final frame.
The Hornets stratgey of driving up the Mighty Casey's pitch count by wiffing paid off.
Casey ran out of gas in the top of the 6th and the Hornet hitters promptly plated 7 runs to take a commading 10 - 0 lead into the final frames.

In the Dodgers' home opener at Ross Field, Brookline comes through with a hard fought win over Cambridge in a pitchers duel between Marty Whitmore and Randy Casey.
The only run scored was in the bottom of the 5th on an errant throw. Andy Zides led off with a double, Zvi Dubitzky bunted Zides to third, and Zides scored on a FC grounder to third base by Joe Patrolia. Both teams played well defensively. Zides made a web gem at 2B, snagging a line drive from Caceras. Key play in the 2nd when Cambridge's Perkins was thrown out at home on a great relay from RF Patrolia to 1B Dubitzky to catcher Bryan Duffy, who blocked the plate for the out, keeping the game scoreless. Rookie Dodger 3B Chris Campilio went 2 for 3.
Whitmore went 7 shutout innings with 8 K's, scattering 5 hits and only 1 walk for the win (1-0).
Casey went all 6 innings allowing 4 hits, 2 walks and 13 K's in the loss. 3B Jesse Leavitt had 3 hits. |

Derek Bates making his first start in two year record the win with 5innings, yielding just 2 hits while striking out 8. Mike "Rigger" Rigarzo recorded his 1st save with 2 innings of scoreless relief.
Bo Gilette pitch well for the Spinners going the distant and suffering a hard to take lost.
Defensive web gem was turned in by Sal Mendonca of Somerville making a diving catch in the 5th to maintain the shutout.
The Somerville staff has now recorded 3 shutouts in the first 4 games. Just 1 earned run over 29innings.
