The Bluefish held on to defeat the Al Thomas Athletics by a score of 8-7 Thursday Night at Healy. The Bluefish jumped out to a 4-0 lead thanks to 3 runs on 4 hits in the 2nd, and another hit and a run in the 3rd. Al Thomas would not play dead, as they collected 5 hits and 3 runs in the 4th to cut it to 4-3. The see saw affair continued, and the Bluefish held on.

An excellent all around effort by the Dodgers results in a big win. Shaun Farrar pitched an excellent game allowing only 4 hits and 1 run throughout his complete game win. Marty Whitmore got it going with a big double in the first, and everyone in the lineup contributed in at least one way all game. Jaques Martin Shatto reached base 4 times scoring 4 times, Whitmore was 3-3 (3 RBI's), Joe Patrolia had 2 hits (2 RBI's), Zides (triple, HBP), and Smith (2 hits, RBI, run) led the offense.
Liam Powers led the way for Al Thomas with 2 hits, and Celata came in very effectively for relief. |

In a 3-3 game, the Rockies come up with two runs in the sixth and hold on for the 5-3 win. Clutch hitting by Kyle Philson and Dave Mitrou helped the Rockies come from behind after being down 3-0 for the victory. Jay Wisner saves his second game in a row. |

Chris Bucci and Liam Powers led the offense with 3 hits and 4 rbi each, with Powers ripping 2 triples and Bucci blasting his first home run. Bobby Barrett added a triple, 2 singles and 2 rbi, while Matt Hallisey and Mark Daly collected 2 hits apiece.

Cold night and the pitchers preformed for both clubs. As Adien Powers for Al Thomas spun a 1 hit shutout for 6innings before tiring in the 7th and yielding 3 runs on a couple of hits. Bernie Driscoll popped his second hit of the night over the second baseman head to bring home the winning runs.
Mike Rigazio gave only 2 hits and 1 unearned run through 5 and Scott Rodgers closed the game and got the victory for Alibrandis.

Savin Hill Hornets and Al Thomas A's have back to back shutouts. The Thomas club shutout Savin Hill on Saturday 5-0 and the Hornets turn the tables on Monday as their ace Kristaps Aldins tosses a 3-0 shutout.
Hornet shortstop Mike Mori and Thomas' 2B Daly were dueling infielders. Mori had 2 putouts and 5 assists while Daly recorded 5 putouts and 2 assists. Both had spectacular web gem plays.
There were no errors for either side as both teams, in classic style, played hard-nosed competitive baseball.

Mark Daly led the quiet offense with 2 hits and a walk, while he and Chris Malloy drove in the only runs for the Thomas Club.
Malloy, recently returned from a lengthy cross-continent excursion, also threw out the potential tying run at the plate from right field after catching a fly ball. In all, the defense turned in 4 double plays.
Sean Sullivan pitched very well in defeat and deserved a better fate, fanning 9. Andy McAllister and Rob Linn led the Beacons' offense. |
