Dunphy came in the game in the fifth inning with the bases loaded and 1 out and got an inning inning double play on a spectacular diving catch by Chuck Sheehan. Mike Rigazio came in relief in the 4th inning and worked out of a bases loaded, 1 out situation with the scored tied and Cassell rallied to score a 5-3 victory eliminating the game Wakefield Merchants. Rigazio recorded 8 strike outs in 3.2 innings including 6 straight at one stretch. Tim Dempsey had 2 hits for Cassell and Taylor Von Kriedenberg had 2 for Wakefield.
