Medford broke the see-saw game open in the top of the 6th with 8 runs. Johnny Cunningham had 4 hits and scored 3 runs. Darren Josey had 3 hits, knocked in 2 runs and scored twice. Buddy Hanley had 2 hits and 4 RBI's.
Talal Saleh went 6 innings, striking out 8, walking 6 and giving up 4 hits. Sean Morrissey pitched a perfect 7th.
This is the third consecutive year the Maddogs have gone 3-0 in the quarter finals.

Pitching and defense. Sean Gildea threw a gem. 7 Innings, 6 K's, 2 singles and 2 walks.
Center fielder Mike Maguire had an unassisted double play, after catching a sinking liner with a runner on second base he kept on coming and stepped on second.
The only Medford error came on an attempted pick off at first base.
Darren Josey had 2 hits for the Maddogs and Joe Pasciucco scored twice to pace the offense.
Lambrecht pitched well and took a tough defeat only giving up 1 earned run. |

McDonough and Demers locked horns today. The Maddogs scored twice in the third and McDonough made it stand up. Crovo started the inning with a walk, Cunningham followed with a single up the middle and Crovo forced an overthrow to third by hustling all the way. Crovo scored on the overthrow and Cunningham ended up on third. Sablone was then intentionally walked and Hanley hit a sacrifice fly to Center scoring Cunningham.
The Dogs defense was flawless. Center fielder Mike Maguire made a diving catch of a sinking liner. Shortstop, Buddy Hanley began a 6-4-3 double play on a sizzling ground ball off the bat of McCrann.
Glavin had 2 of the Bluefish's 3 hits, including a double. Demers struck out 7 while going the distance keeping his team in it.
DH, McClafferty had 2 hits for Medford.
McDonough struck out 5, and only gave up 3 hits and pitched to only 2 over the minimum. |

Offensively, Brian Sullivan's 2 run single broke open a 1-0 game in the 5th inning for the Bluefish. JJ DePalma led the Bluefish offense with 2 hits. Bonnell and Michel each had RBI singles in the 7th inning for Savin Hill. |

Scoreless after 3 innings, Chris Santosuosso led off the 4th with a single, and scored on a mammoth Triple by Nick Rossi 1 hopping the backstop in dead center making it 1-0 Bluefish. Rossi scored when the next batter JJ DePalma grounded out. That was it for scoring. Chris Demers pitched a complete game 2 hit shutout, giving up his first hit in the 5th inning. D'Elia lived up to his 9-1 record, giving up 5 hits and 2 runs, while walking 2 and striking out 6. |

You know the saying "It's better to be lucky than good" Well the Alibrandi's 9 was good and lucky last night outlasting a game Roslindale club 10-8 at the old ball park.
Mike Powers and Scott Rodgers combined to pitch 7 strong innings battling all the way yeilding just 3 earned runs on 11 hits.
Offense was lead by Derek Bates 4-4 with 4RBI's and a run scored, Frank McPherson 3-4 with 2RBI's and a run scored and Tom McDonough 2-4 with 1RBI and 1 run scored. Kevin White and Mike Feetham reached base safely 3 times each and combined to score 4 runs.

Brookline wins their 4th in a row on a scorching day in Norwood. Marty Whitmore settled down in the 3rd and got the win, thanks to some timely and persistant hitting from the Dodgers. Shatto (2R, SB), Smith (3RBI) and Ramsey (1RBI) each had 2 hits, while Andy Zides hit a double for the 7th hit.
Whitmore struck out 4 in his solid outing walking 2 and hitting 2 batters as well. McCran was 3-4 to lead the Bluefish offense with a 3-run triple, while Becker went 2-4 as well.

Aidan Powers pitched a complete game for his 4th win of the season, yielding 1 earned run in outdueling Roslindale's Lembrecht.
Jim Flavin singled twice for the A's, while Matt Hallisey singled, doubled and drove in a pair. Pat McGann doubled in Peter Moores, who had singled, in the 3rd inning.

The Bluefish spoiled a very good pitching performance from Randy Casey, who held the Bluefish down for most of the night, including retiring 12 in a row and 14 out of 15 from the 2nd through the 6th innings. Danny Caceres broke Chris Demers' scoreless inning streak at 21 1-3 with a 1 out double in the 2nd scoring Andrew Billig to tie the game at 1. Demers would get a no decision. The Roslindale Bluefish even their record at 2-2 with a 2-0 win on Tuesday Night at Healy Field over the Chelsea Royals. Chris Demers outlasted Mike Sciarappa in a great pitcher's duel. Demers went the distance for the Bluefish, throwing 80 pitches and allowing 2 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 7. Sciarappa was perfect through 3, and held a shutout through 4, until the Bluefish finally got on the board with 2 runs on 3 hits in the 5th. After a leadoff walk by Nick Rossi and a Colin McCrann Double, Mike Lembo hit an RBI single to Right to break the scoreless tie. Two batters later, Dan Sweeney singled home McCrann from 3rd for a 2-0 lead. That was all Demers would need to collect his 2nd win on the season, have pitched 13 straight scoreless innings. |

The Brewers got on the board in the second inning, sparked by a two-run triple by catcher Tony Iafolla, and never looked back. Jeremy Dalton kept the Bluefish hitters from narrowing the margin, scattering 4 hits and collecting 5 K's in 4+ innings of work. Brandon Brewer lead the Brighton offense by reaching base in 5 consecutive at-bats, going 3-3 and adding 2 walks.
Bluefish reliever O'Shea pitched well in relief of starter Lambrecht, quieting the Brewer hitters and giving his team a chance to cut into the Brewers lead. But the lead proved too much, as the Brewers held on for the victory. |

Jimmy Burns of the Royals frustrated the Bluefish offense for the first five innings. Then the Bluefish opened things up on a booming double by Sean Glavin that rolled under the center field fence negating a possible inside-the-park HR.
