Brookline holds off the Brewers in a classic duel between Bill Hughto and Kevin Christina down at Healy Field. Both starters cruised through the first couple of innings until Andy Zides led off the bottom of the 3rd with a single to get things going for the Dodgers. After a tough hop single and an HBP (Shatto's 11th of the year!), Marty Whitmore ripped a 3-run triple into right, which proved to be all Brookline needed for the win.

Jerrad Ryan came in in the 6th for a 2-inning save, and kept Brookline in the playoff hunt. Zides led the hitting attack w/ a 2-2 night to go along with Whitmore's blast, and 3 other Dodgers added one hit each as well.

5 Brewers had one hit a piece, and Iafolla hit a bomb to left that was knocked down in the trees for a double.

Gerry Ramsey singled in Jeff Jalovec in the bottom of the 8th to take the victory 7-6 over a very tough Cambridge team. This was also after a wild 7th, in which Matt Nussbaum scored on a wild pitch on a 3-2 count with 2 outs, but Andy Zides failed to touch first base on the walk, and was called out on an appeal.
Shaun Farrar gutted out a great performance for all 8 innings overcoming a few early unearned runs to win his 2nd of the year. The Dodger offense kept battling back against a good performance by Gillette, who struck out 10, but ended up with the tough loss.

Striking out 4 in the outing, Arenda worked both sides of the plate with mastery, and kept the Royals batters off balance with the curve and change-up. Solid defensive play behind him for 6 innings kept the no-no in tact, but there was a bit of a scare in the 7th with a walk, a HBP and a couple errors, which made the finale that much more exciting.

Considering 20 runs crossed the plate the game concluded by 10PM allowing the manager and the team captain an opportunity to savor the tasty culinary wares of the local Brighton Burger King.
