Chris Schroeder picked up the win for the Brewers, taking a shutout into the 7th. The Cubs rallied for 2 in the seventh, before Doug Chase came in and shut the door on the rally to earn the save.

Mark Krukonis (2-0) pitched a gem, faning 7, until understandably tiring in the 7th. Dave Iava came on in the 8th to pitch two shutout innings.
At the dish, the 21 hit attack was led by Iava (4-5, 2B), Chris Igo (3-6, 2R), Brendan Stone (3-4, 2 2B, 3R) and Thom Holdgate (3-4, 2R).
Somerville showed and finished with 8 guys and hung tough for a while. Stanton kept things close on the hill until cramps forced him to leave in the latter innings. Crisafulli had a couple of hits including a 2 run double in the 7th.
