Blaine Lewis got his third win of the season gong 5 and 2/3's and striking out 6 along the way. Blaine pitched out of trouble all day. The Black Sox had men on base in every inning and left eleven runners on base.
Eamonn McDonough came on in relief and finished the last inning and 1/3 by striking out 2 and walking 1.
Shortstop, Buddy Hanley knocked in the game winner on a 2-out, 2-strike pitch with runners on 1st and second base. Joe Pasciucco, who went 2 for 3 scored the run.
Matt Borto pitched tremendously, losing his second 1-0 game to the Maddogs. Borto went the distance striking out 7 and only yielding 6 hits and 2 walks. |

The Brighton Sox dominated the game until the 6th inning, when the A's woke up and scored 3 runs on a 2-run double by Chris Malloy and a single by Greg Lovely. In the bottom of the 7th with 2 out and nobody on, Sean Wilshere beat out a dribbler between the plate and the mound, followed by a booming triple to right center by Steve Sherman to tie the game. Brian Powers laced a single to center to win the game, as the Al Thomas Club picked up its 3rd last-at-bat victory of the year. Robe Celata picked up the win in relief of John Russell. Celata hurled 2 1/3 scoreless innings with 4 strikeouts. Sherman, Powers and Wilshere collected 2 hits apiece for the A's, while Miranda had 2 hits for the Sox. Pat Foley pitched a strong game in defeat, baffling Al Thomas hitters for most of the game. |

The Black Sox loaded the bases in the 7th but came away with just 1 run. |

Ken Kilduff pitched a gem as he collected his first win of the season. In 6.1 innings of work Kilduff managed to give up 2 unearned runs while striking out 7 and allowing just 4 hits. The 2 runs that scored came in the 3rd inning after an error gave the Black Sox just enough outs to tie the game at 2. But in the 6th, the Rockies plated 2 more runs on 3 hits (2B, 1B, 3B) to regain the lead and get the "W". Mike Close had a multi hit peformance going 2-3 with 2 doubles. Neal Roper's triple in the 6th added the much needed insurance run.
For the Black Sox, Matt Borto (0-1) took the heart breaking loss as he pitched 6 innings, striking out 7, as he battled Kilduff all game. Gabe Soto (2-4, 1B, 2B)had 2 hits for the Sox to lead their offense. |

The Sox ruined the shutout in the 7th on a walk, error and ground out, but Powers struck out the last 2 hitters for the victory and the no-no. Chris malloy led Al Thomas with 2 hits, 2 stolem bases and a rbi. |
