Game ended on what has to be the best play I have ever seen in my life, Shortstop Joey Claudio runs 100ft into rightfield to make a running grab, spins and doubles off the runner at first. Jays rightfielder Jeff Derochea and 2nd Baseman Scott Mondeau had lost the ball in the bleachers behind the dish
oh yeah Mike Khoury dropped a scud, his 9th of the year off Larry Taglieri.

Long Time Jay Jim Gaudiano blew out his knee and will require career ending surgery.

Congrats to John Gainey and the Tide for a great year

The Tides move onto the finals with a huge effort from Rich Kisiel on the mound. After a rough first inning, Rich settled down and picks up the win in his first post-season start. Larry Taglieri gets the save.

Offensively, the Tides were led by Chris Igo (2-3; 3 RBI), Russ Goodman (2-3) and Al Parnell (2-2; 2R). Big Pappi Pithie hit another bomb without a fence and rumbled for a double, as well as making several huge defensive plays at 1st.

The Tribe's Tom Manning, despite the loss, showed true grit in going the distance on the hill. His complete game effort made his 11 day total innings pitched an astounding 26. Godd luck in rehab, Tom!!! John Sheppela went 2-2 with a walk and Rob Kocsmiersky was 1-1 with 2 walks.

A special side note: Tonights game marked the last BMBL appearance for Jim Tosches (AKA "JT"). Jim is moving to the West Coast next month to start a new chapter with his loved one. JT - you will be missed.
