In the bottom of the 7th inning down 8-3, the Pirates mount a sensational comeback win and finally get to Thunder workhorse Jason O'Leary to capture a 9-8 walk off win. 8 Pirates hits in the final inning including the initial base hit and the game winning RBI single by Nick Melluzzo secured the victory.
Nate Fishman (4 hits), Ben Schwartz (3 hits), and Brian Rijo (2 hits) also contributed to the Pirates offense.
Matthew Sommerfield, Nick Anander, and David Johnson each had multiple hits in the Thunder effort.
The Thunder and Pirates finish out the season series on Sunday in North Andover. |

Angels Win In Fashion, Walk It Off Versus Waltham A's

It came down to the wire on Tuesday, as Angels grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 5-2, over Waltham A's. The game was tied at two in the bottom of the seventh when Argeny Villa homered to center field, scoring three runs.
Angels were the first to get on the board in the first when Nick Godfroy singled, scoring one run.
A triple by Nick Godfroy extended the Angels lead to 2-0 in the bottom of the third inning.
#4 homered to center field, which helped Waltham A's tie the game at two in the top of the seventh.
Kyle Hansen earned the win for Angels. The reliever allowed three hits and two runs over four innings, striking out one and walking one. Dan Wilson stepped on the hill first for Angels. The righty allowed three hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out none and walking two.

Veteran Right-Hander Anthony Del Prete (1-0) made his first start of the young season, out-dueling the league's reigning Cy Young Award winner Garrett Colantino for the win. Deli scattered 4 hits, surrendering just 1 unearned run, striking out 3.
Hector Pellot launched his first home run as a Bomber onto Franey Rd. in the 5th inning, while David Lightbody's 3-run double in the bottom of the 6th walked it off for the champs. Desroches & Dziuba chipped in with 3 hits a piece. |

Angels scored seven runs in the fifth inning, which helped them defeat Milton Fighting Irish 12-0 on Thursday. Nick Godfroy doubled, scoring one run, Ben Buxton homered to left field, scoring two runs, Jeancarlos Rohena homered to right field, scoring three runs, and Mark Cibulski singled, scoring one run.
Angels got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Nick Godfroy doubled, Milton Fighting Irish dropped a third strike, and Milton Fighting Irish committed an error, each scoring one run.
