The Spinners forced a fifth and final game Thursday night with a 10-9 win over the Bombers to tie the series at two games apiece. Down 9-8 in the sixth, Tyler Bailey doubled and scored two runs to take the lead for Cambridge. Alex Benson led the offense with three hits, including a triple in the fourth inning. Mario Padovani came on in relief for the win, pitching three and two thirds innings with a pair of strikeouts and recording the last two outs of the game. Hector Coscione has three hits and drove in three runs while Hector Pelliiot had two hits and scored twice.

Mario Padovani and Anthony Del Prete traded zeroes all night, both turning in stellar complete game performances on the mound. David Lightbody tied things up in the top of the 4th with a clutch RBI single, and would later score on Marc Desroches' go ahead single in the 7th. Jonny Hayes would add the insurance with a 2-out single plating Doc and Pellot. Ricky Salvia reached base 3 times for the Spinners and stole a base on a perfect night at the plate for Cambridge. The Bombers now lead the best of 5 series 2-0 and will look to close out their 4th league title on Tuesday at Maplewood.

Spartans got on the board early with a Chris Deane 2B to LF scoring Mike Smith in the 1st. That lead was erased in the top half of the 2nd by a 2-out 2-run single by Juan Parra.
