Always a wild one when these two play at McConnell. Dogs take a crazy game in extra's on a Joe Klingensmith HBP RBI in the top of the 9th, and Kenny Chaves earns the save. Matt Keefe went 6 IP and had 4 Ks. Brandon Imonti works 2 IP allows 1 run and gets the W. |

Huber stikes out 7 to get his 2nd win of the season and the Dodgers 3rd win.
Matchbox MVP to Danny Concessi. Danny had 3 hits, 2 runs scored and 1 RBI.
A big defensive moment came in the 3rd inning with DeLa Cruz at the dish with 2 on and no outs. Dela Cruz hit a moonshot to right that was just shy of the deep Brandeis fence. Concessi lost sight of the ball in the darkening sky of the evening twilight, but lined up like he was going to catch the ball anyway. The ball scraped the top of the fence and Yee came over from center to back up the play and get the ball in. No runs scored on the play and only 1 run scored that inning.
For the Black Sox, Tonies got plunked twice and made the most of it scoring both times. Varakis had two hits. |
