Max Ockner and the Knights offense too much for the Astros as they clinch the series 3 games to 1. Knights pound out 10 hits and grind out 6 runs capped by a bases loaded triple by Kenny Polanco in the 1st inning giving the Knights a 3 to 0 lead they would never reliquish. Ockner Ks 9 and allows just 4 hits leading the Knights to the victory. Knights move on to face the winner of the Rockies and Athletics series. |

19 year old rookie Joey Zampell throws a complete game to help defeat the Knights 4-3 in a playoff atmosphere
Zampell beared down all night like he was a YBL veteran. Zampell let up 9 hits, 3 runs, 0 earned, striking out 4 Knights to earn his 2nd win of the season
The Knights would score first on a Saber miscue and Paulino would take advantage and follow with a 2 RBI double
Sabers battle back in the 5th. Chapman, Creamer and Curtin would load the bases. Flanagan would get the ball to the right side of the infield to plate Chapman. Pizarro would follow with an RBI bunt and a throwing error would allow Curtin to score on an Adams hit ball
Lenane would lead off the 6th with a single when Curtin would follow by putting the ball in play and another miscue allowed Lenane to score the winning run
Luciano had 3 hits
Allison the tough luck loser
