Nathan Hodor gets the win for the Dodgers both with his bat and with his arm. On a hot Sunday afternoon at the (oceanless) beach the Dodgers came into the game shorthanded against the playoff bound Sabers. Dodgers score 1 in the first and another in the fourth. That would be enough for Hodor's pitching performance. Though the Sabers showed off some power hitting (two 2B and one 3B), solid Dodger defense got the timely outs they needed.

Hodor 2 for 3 with a 3RBI triple in the 6th. Dubin scored twice, Smith had 2 RBIs and Cady had 1 RBI.

Savin Hill would test closer Eric Dumas in the 7th. Clarke singled with 2 outs and Nate Hodor pelted a titanic double to the fence in center. Danielson did a great job tracking the baall and keeping Nate on 2nd. Dumas got Whittle to smack one back to the box to end the game.

Conroy gets the win in his first start of the year going 5 innings and striking out 8. Hunter Shea gets the 2 inning save.

While most of the Dodgers seemed insistent on giving this game away, one Dodger fought back and propelled the team to its 3rd win of the year.

Dave Clarke not only reached base multiple times, but also recorded 3 outfield assists from an unnatural position of centerfield. The last assist, cutting down the Yankees' tying run at the plate, also served as the last out of the game. This effort robbed Chazz Conroy of his first Matchbox MVP.

The score of this game likely would've been more lopsided if it weren't for some stellar Yankee defense up the middle.

The first away game of the season for the Dodgers, and the second win in a row. Dave Clarke led off the game with a single and stolen base and was knocked in by Jeff Cady for a first inning score. Clarke and O'keefe both have singles and both score in the seventh for a couple of needed insurance runs.

That would be all the offense needed to secure the victory for Brendan Huber. Last year's 10 game winner records his first win of the season. Huber has his best stuff going perfect for the first 3 innings until he hit Shah to lead off the fourth. However that would be the only base runner until the bottom of the seventh. Hopwood led off the inning with a ground ball in the hole between SS and third. O'keefe had a great effort to get to the ball and make a strong throw to first, but the runner beat it out by half a step to break up the no hitter. The following at bat Cather hit a screaming ground rule double into the shrubs in rig
