After failing to score and now two outs, Frankie Tierney (2-4, 2 R,2B, 3B, 5 RBI) picked up the slack and lined a bases clearing double under the diving attempt by Ryan Connelly. Tierney then scored on Mike Davis' deep double to left giving ADSL the early 4-0 lead. TJO starter Tyler Shute then settled in over the next four innings, retiring the next eleven ADSL hitters, keeping TJO within distance to stay alive. TJO then threatened in the 5th, chasing ADSL starter Dave Liffers (4.1, W, 7 Ks) cutting the lead to 4-3. Tommy McDonald worked out of the 5th to secure the ADSL lead.
-ADSL answered with a big 6th, chasing Shute by scoring five runs on five hits, starting with Tierney's 2-run deep triple to right center giving ADSL the 9-3 lead. TJO continued to fight, pulling within two runs and the tying run on second; ADSL barely escaped with a great play by SS Joe Presti.
