Rathskeller gets the season sweep of WFP and win number 16 on the year, 15-5. Josh Sokol gets the win throwing 8 gutsy innings and contributing big time at the plate, hitting a 2 run single in the 3rd to take a 5-4 lead after White Fire pushed across 4 in the top of the inning. He later homered to right center in the 7th. Ryan Geremia homered and Quinten Scott and Mike Dewald each had 3 hits in the HOPS 17 hit attack. JJ Sorensen (4 singles) and Kyle Allen (2 hits, BB) lead the way for WFP.

Rathskeller gets the win in the first meeting of the 2014 season with their South County rivals, White Fire Protection, 10-4. HOPS were able to get out to a quick 4-0 lead in the first on a Dante Blancarte 3 run missile to right. They pushed across 3 more in the 2nd to build a 7-0 lead. RIIABL hall of famer Rich Pacino was able to slow down the HOPS bats and allow his team to get back in it, but 1 run in the 5th and 2 in the 6th would put the game out of reach and move Rathskeller to 14-2. Andrew Smiley gets to 4-0 on the season throwing 8 innings striking out 11. Hops with 16 hits (Borges, Abarr 3 apiece) while Bryan Curran continues to make his push for league MVP for White Fire going 3-4 with a double and 2 runs scored. |

The Legend of Rich Pacino continues to grow as the first-ballot RIIABL Hall-of-Famer puts White Fire Protection on his back and delivers one of the best performances of his remarkable career. On a day in which White Fire was missing many key contributors, Pacino steps up to the role as the cleanup hitter and goes 5-6 with 2 runs scored and 5 huge runs batted in to help WFP escape with a victory. Sorensen, Curran and Devereaux combined for 8 hits and 7 runs scored to set the table for Pacino's heroics, and Joey Baldini picked up his first career RIIABL hit in the form of a clutch double off the top of the fence in left-center. Chris Anderson picked up the win on the bump with 5 innings of 1-run relief and executed a pair of perfect sacrifice bunts at the dish. The Coyotes put up a strong battle on their home turf, leading 6-2 after 4 and collecting 13 hits against the WFP pitching staff. |
