Cambridge Cantabs 4, Revere Rockies 2
In the first round of the 2013 playoffs, the Cambridge Cantabs and Revere Rockies played a tightly contested series that saw the Rockies barely outscore the Cantabs by a total of 4-2. So it was with little surprise that the two teams played another close contest on Wednesday night in Lynn. In the end, the Cantabs earned the 4-2 victory behind a solid start from Peter Kaes and timely hitting.
Both the Cantabs and Rockies left the yard, with the Rockies' Ned Coffee tying the score at 2 with a solo homer in the 4th and the Cantabs' Jim Griglun breaking the tie with a solo homer of his own in the 6th (and subsequently hurting himself while rounding the bases). |
