The Dodgers look to improve their playoff seeding with a 9-3 win over Los Bravos at Rogers.

Los Bravos throw Defusco onto the hill for perhaps his last YBL career start, ending it with the team he started with, against the team he played for the better part of 10 years. And in true Defusco fashion, he promptly drills Shatto in the ribs.

Defusco had a good day at the dish, going 2-3. And Ari Glantz goes 2-4 with a 2-run 2b in the 2nd.

Samp earns his 4th W of the year, giving up 2er in 4 innings. 'Salad' Shea and Rosy throw a clean last 3 innings to nail it down.

After jumping out to a 2 run lead in the first, the Dodgers tack on 5 in the 2nd when Nick Tapper finally earns the Matchbox MVP with a grand slam into the right-center trees (despite a valiant effort from M.Uberti). He also k'd miserably against Smitty again. Clarke (2r)/Buddha/Campbell each add 2 hits.

Fans of the game: the O'Keefes finally make an appearance!

Brighton Braves 1 0 0 2 0 0 1 4 6 0
Savin Hill Dodgers 0 0 0 0 0 0 5 5 4 1

The SHDodgers win their inaugural tilt of the 2014 season in very interesting fashion. After a 15-minute delay (lights), Los Bravos capitalize on a throwing error to take a 1-0 lead, later adding a pair in the 4th and 1 in the 7th. Mike Smith was stellar, striking out 8 Dodgers in the first 3 innings, going 6 shutout with 11 ks.

For the Dodgers, The Big Canuck (Huber) went 6 yielding 3 runs (2 ER) and keeping his team in the game. Then it got weird. The lights went out at 10:00 on the nose, and caused another 20-minute delay in the top of the 7th. Chazz Conroy lets up 1 run going into the last frame.

With Smitty done for the night, the delay clearly took a toll as the Braves pitching couldn't get back in groove with a series of walks and an HBP, letting the Dodgers push 5 across for the win.

Greeley takes the tough luck loss, Conroy vultures a win, Jamula with the GW rbi.
