Bucciarelli, Wong and Santosuosso would all reach base to start the 5th. Tom Englehardt would then plate 2 with the bases loaded single to cut the lead to 5-3. A's would escape further damage on an inning ending double play. In the bottom of the 6th, the first 3 batters would reach base. With the bases loaded, Bucciarelli would walk and the stage was set for Alex Wong. The Knights got off to a quick start scoring 2 runs in the 1st and 2nd to take a 4-0 lead. The story of the game was the Knights pitching in this one. Shawn Carlson, Joel Santos, Branden Eaton, Jon Shepard and Jeff Allsion combined for a 2 hit 16 strikeout performance against the prolific Rockies offense. An intentional walk loaded the bases before Justin Wojcik comes thru with a Sac Fly to tie it and Pat Yee (2-3 with a 3b) walks 'em off. Nationals take a close one at Ronan.
