Gregg Phieffer is the series MVP with a bases clearing triple in the fifth to erase a 3-2 deficit. Derek Levangie goes 8 for the win pitching out of numerous jams. Ralph Noblin, Les Weber and Jim Venuto with good days at the plate as well. The M's had their share of hits but the Indians had more and more when they counted. Brian Cassidy takes the loss for the M's,Marty Mason pitched well in relief. Paul Godino had a nice double in the 7th to lead off the inning, but Derek L. pitched out of it, just as he did all day long. Brockton's experience and steady play was the difference. Gregg Phieffer led the charge for Brockton with two huge doubles driving in 4 runs. Steve Mineo took the win with 9 gutsy innings recording 8 K's. Each team allowed 3 earned runs each. Mike Roman took the tough loss going 7 for Sci-Dux. Many errors and an all around sloppily played game by both sides. Brockton in typical playoff form had the big hits with men on base. Game was decided by who made the plays and who had the clutch hits. Brockton was the clear winner on both fronts. Next game, Sunday 11am Edgars.

In a game that ment nothing the sI-dux won on a wimp-off. BP was had by all, including .... B. Venuto, D. Levangie, M. Noblin., R. Figueroa, B. Cassidy, D. Patterson, M. Garcia, P. Calvi, Chicky and Ted and the boys. Good luck to all in the playoffs.

Marty Mason was the winner going 6 and 2/3. RBI singles for senna, calvi, mason, patterson, Garcia 4 sb's. o'conner pitched well on 2 days rest for braintree, keenan with the night's best hit, a triple to deep right.

The Blue J's battled back in the last inning to score 6 runs for a hard fought victory. Every BJ in the lineup had a hit. Dana Johnson battled back from a shaky start and stayed strong enough to go the distance striking out 11 for his 5th victory against no losses. The Mariner's fought hard as usual with a great pitching performance from their starter, Roman. Dave Patterson was a force at 3rd base, at bat with 2 hits and on the bases scoring twice and stealing 2 bases.

Brian Cassidy went nine. Threw a gem. Mariners stole 7 bases and beat Larry Cibotti who also went 9 and threw well enough to win. The Blue Jay bats were silenced by a great pitching performance from Brian C. Welby Homered in 9th. Patterson GW RBI.

The cc indians defeated sci-dux 15-7 in an ugfest today at the circle. tom manning picked up his 5th win for the tribe going 7 solid. CC banged out 15 hits - leading the way with 3 each were rob kocsmierski and rich winant while john shepella chipped in with a homer and triple.

Medfield jumped out to a 3-1 lead with 4 singles and a sac fly in the first. The lead was 3 runs again at the half way point. A few bad bounces, 5 walks, and a couple of hits later and Sci-Dux had the lead after 5. Mike Roman pitched the final 4 innings getting the win to go to 2-0. Lot of Blue Mariner shirts on the field.
