Somerville defeats Revere 4 games to 1 to win the 2013 YBL Championship.
Rey throws 6 strong only giving up 2 hits, and Tanguy came on for the save.
Offensively Rogers double put Alibranids up 2-0 in the 5th and insurance run was added after singles by Rogers and DesRoches. Gillis with 2 hits and big base running.
Rey and Tanguy named Finals MVP for their efforts combined of 17.1 innings pitched, 3 Wins and 2 saves, 6 hits against, 18K's and 0 Runs. Rogers also highly in consideration with 15 RBI this postseason and all big hits.
Somerville would like to send congrats to Revere on a tremendous year. Somerville would also like to thank Tony, David, Mike, the board, and the players that make up the YBL! And of course the ladies in our lives for the continued support!

Rich Wlodarczyk picks up the complete game win for the Rockies, allowing only 2 hits and striking out 4. Woody would not allow a hit in the last 5 innings.
Chris Hartery put the Rocks on the board in the first with a 2R HR to left. In the 4th, Tony Iafolla led off with a single and scored on a Nate Laliberte's FC to put the Rocks up 3-0 through 4. |

Somerville Alibrandis 11, Revere Rockies 5
Sullivan throws first 3.2 innings and Tanguy throws the next 3.1 to earn the win.
Offensively Somerville had one of their best nights of the year. 18 hits including 4 from DesRoches, 3 from Gillis and Crisafulli. Huge HR by Cunningham. In tonight's lineup, Somervilles 6-9 went a collective 11 for 17 with 2 doubles, a HR, 4 RBI and 7 Runs scored.
Defensively the infield bounced around with 11 assists and a great play by Rogers. |

Foundas pitches 6 strong innings picking up the win improving his record to 10-0 on the year. Lounsbury throws the 7th.
Offensively Somerville breaks game wide open in the 4th with 6 runs including a bases clearing triple by Rogers.
1-9 chipped in tonight either being heads up on the bases or making plays in the field. |

Morse throws 4 to earn the win, and Cosmopolus, Foundas, and Rey throw an inning a piece in relief.
Dziuba, Rogers, Barrett, and Cunningham all had multi hit nights.
Congrats to the Braves on a great season. Not a better bunch of guys out there. |

Revere Rockies 7, Stoneham Sabers 4
Alex Wong picks up the win allowing 3 hits in 5in of work, John Young gets the save.
Rockies would get on the board in the first on Chris Hartery's HR to CF. Stoneham would answer in their half of the inning and each team would swap runs over the next 3 frames.
In the 5th Hartery would lead off with a single and he would score on Tony Iafolla's triple to center. Nate Laliberte knocks in TI to put the Rocks up 4-2 thru 5.
Rockies add 3 more runs in the top of the 6th on 4 hits and it would hold up as the Rockies sweep the Sabres in the best of 5 series to make their first trip ever to the YBL Finals.
Congrats to Stoneham on a successful season. |

Offensively Dziuba with 2 RBI on two hits and Rogers breaking game open with bases clearing double.
DesRoches makes a great diving play on Lee to prevent a possible big inning in the 5th.
Lankarge pitches great for the Braves keeping Somerville off balance all night. |

Alex Torres picks up the win in relief.
Rockies come back from 5-1 with 3 runs in the 6th and tie the game in the 7th off of Stoneham reliever Rob McDonald.
Both teams had chances in extras but it wasnt until the 11th, w 2 outs and Hartery on 2nd, the Rockies would rally. Kyle Rufo and Adam Del Rio both worked walks to load the bases for Mike Roberts. Roberts would stroke the 2-0 pitch off the wall in left for the 2nd walk-off win in as many games for the Rockies. |

Adam Del Rio picks up the complete game win, allowing only 3 hits and striking out 4.
Pete Oggeri would lead off the 7th with a base hit to left center and move to 2nd on a passed ball. Mike Roberts followed with a single to right and Kyle Rufo would reach base on a HBP to load the bases for Aj Bucciarelli. Bucciarelli would see only 1 pitch, grounding it hard to short and Oggeri scores on the error for the walk-off win.

Chris Sandini picks up complete game win striking out 7 to help propel the Rockies to the 2nd round.
Rockies scored 5 runs in the 3rd on 3 SB errors. That is all Sandini would need as he scattered 5 hits and the defense played well behind him.
Congrats to SB on a successful 2013 season.

Bravos Bravos Bravos win their first playoff series in 32 years!
Both clubs sent their Game 1 starters (Clang & Smitty) back to the hill on 3 days' rest and neither disappointed. The only run allowed in the game was unearned, when Risk singled in Robb who had reached on an error.
Props to the A's on another hard-fought series, and best wishes to Chief in retirement!

Same Cummings pitches 6 shutout innings to help the Sabers sweep the series as they advance to the Yawkey Baseball semi finals!
Cummings threw 6 scoreless innings, scattering 3 hits, striking out 3 Knights to earn his first YBL playoff win
The Sabers plated 3 runs in the 3rd. After Robinson, Adams, and MacDonald loaded the bases. Schauwecker would lay down a perfect bunt to score Robinson. Chapman would draw the RBI walk and MacDonald would later score on a throwing error
MacDonald would hit a lead off triple in the 5th and score on a Schauwecker grounder
Sabers tack on 4 more in the 6th, on a Robinson single and a pair of RBI walks from Schauwecker and Chapman
MacDonald reached base all 4 times and scored 3 runs.
Schauwecker stayed hot with 3 RBIS
Chapman has back to back 2 RBI nights
