Alex Wong picks up the win allowing 3 hits in 5in of work, John Young gets the save.

Rockies would get on the board in the first on Chris Hartery's HR to CF. Stoneham would answer in their half of the inning and each team would swap runs over the next 3 frames.

In the 5th Hartery would lead off with a single and he would score on Tony Iafolla's triple to center. Nate Laliberte knocks in TI to put the Rocks up 4-2 thru 5.

Rockies add 3 more runs in the top of the 6th on 4 hits and it would hold up as the Rockies sweep the Sabres in the best of 5 series to make their first trip ever to the YBL Finals.

Alex Torres picks up the win in relief.

Rockies come back from 5-1 with 3 runs in the 6th and tie the game in the 7th off of Stoneham reliever Rob McDonald.

Both teams had chances in extras but it wasnt until the 11th, w 2 outs and Hartery on 2nd, the Rockies would rally. Kyle Rufo and Adam Del Rio both worked walks to load the bases for Mike Roberts. Roberts would stroke the 2-0 pitch off the wall in left for the 2nd walk-off win in as many games for the Rockies.

Mike Roberts followed with a single to right and Kyle Rufo would reach base on a HBP to load the bases for Aj Bucciarelli. Bucciarelli would see only 1 pitch, grounding it hard to short and Oggeri scores on the error for the walk-off win.

Same Cummings pitches 6 shutout innings to help the Sabers sweep the series as they advance to the Yawkey Baseball semi finals!

Cummings threw 6 scoreless innings, scattering 3 hits, striking out 3 Knights to earn his first YBL playoff win

The Sabers plated 3 runs in the 3rd. After Robinson, Adams, and MacDonald loaded the bases. Schauwecker would lay down a perfect bunt to score Robinson. Chapman would draw the RBI walk and MacDonald would later score on a throwing error

MacDonald would hit a lead off triple in the 5th and score on a Schauwecker grounder

Sabers tack on 4 more in the 6th, on a Robinson single and a pair of RBI walks from Schauwecker and Chapman

MacDonald reached base all 4 times and scored 3 runs.

Schauwecker stayed hot with 3 RBIS

Remember when baseball etiquette and playing the game the way it's supposed to be played meant something?

With 2 outs in the 6th inning Stoneham got their first hit on a bunt.

Jon Klein was masterful in picking up his 4th win of the season. He walked two and struck out 12.

Bobby Mello got the only hit of the game for Medford(line drive to left, not a bunt)and scored the only run of the game after a couple of infield miscues.

Maddogs win their 9th game in the last 10.

Flanagan pitched 7 solid innings, scattering 4 hits, letting up no earned runs, while striking out a batter to earn his 4th win of the season

The Sabers would score first. With runners on 1st and 3rd, Zack Graham would get himself into a pickle, when Rob MacDonald would take off for home to score the sabers first run.

In the 5th Jon Chapman would lead off with a single. Chapman would reach third after a Joe Parlow bunt, and Stefan Botarelli ground ball. When Flanagan would help his own cause hitting an RBI single

The play of the game came in the 7th, when a relay came in from Robinson to Botarelli, Chapman would make a great scooping tag at home plate to end the game

In a wild one at McConnell the Hornets come from behind to win 10-5.

In a game filled with big plays the two largest were ...

1) with 2 out in the 5th and the Sabers leading 5-4 Joe Parlow seemed to rock a 2-run double. However, the first runner missed third base and was called out on an appeal ending the inning and keeping the score at 5-4.

2) After the Hornets had taken a narrow 6-5 lead in the 5th Pat McClay (4 for 4, 5 rbi) roped a 3 run triple to deep center for his 4th hit of the game.

Dave Clarke, Adam Morgan, Jon Savas and Sean Gordon all had 2 hits for the Hornets. For Clarke that is his 4th straight 2 hit game. He has hit in 6 straight overall, bring his average up to .421 on the season.

Stepan Botarelli, Ryan Flanagan, Mike Robinson and Zack Graham all had 2 hits for the Sabers. Both of Graham hits were doubles.

George Zeigler picked up the win in relief. His first YBL victory.

Chris Dion goes the distance and the Sabers edge the Rockies 2-1 in a pitchers duel at Chelsea HS

The Sabers got on the board early. Stefan Botarelli would lead off with a walk and Ryan Flanagan and Mike Robinson would hit singles each. Travis Adams would score Botarelli on a sacrifice fly and Angelo Colucci would hit a sacrifice fly of his own to score Flanagan on what would end up being the game winning run.

Dion pitched 7 strong innings, allowing only 3 hits, on 1 earned, while striking out 5 Rockies, to earn his 6th win of the season.

Rich Wlodarczyk got the tough luck loss. Wlodarczyk went the distance allowing 5 hits, 2 earned and struck out 6 Sabers.

Wong hit a RBI single in the 4th to score Rodriguez for the Rockies only run.

Botarelli was sharp at shortstop all night and Robinson had a multi-hit game for Stoneham.

Milcades Santana gets his 4th win of the season going 5 innings and striking out 5, allowing only 1 run on 2 hits. Joey "Eyeball" Ortiz pitched a scoreless 6th, and Eddy Morrobel Castillo pitched a scoreless 7th to pick up the save.

All but one starter had a hit for the Astros tonight. Omar Ortiz and Rommel Peguero had an RBI each, and Moises Maza picked up the game winning RBI in the 4th inning. The Astros defense was stellar tonight, led by Paul Politsopoulos at 2nd base, and Jhiomar Veras' amazing running catch in center. Much needed win....

Gutsy performance by Saber pitching to help the Sabers defeat the A's 3-2 in extra innings

Saint's Jim McLaughlin put a catcher's clinic on behind the plate, he was tremendous defensively all afternoon

Stoneham would jump out to the 1-0 lead in the first after 4 straight hits, but Del Rio would setlle down and retire the next 3 batters to end the inning. Rockies bats were quiet until the 4th when Alex Wong would tie the game on an RBI single and Chris Santosuosso would come up big with the 2 out hit to knock in 2 to put Revere up 4-1 after 3 and 1/2.

Stoneham would cut the lead to 1 in the bottom of the inning, but Del Rio would retire 7 of the next 8 batters to pick up the win.

Chris Dion was brilliant all afternoon as he throws the Sabers' first no hitter in franchise history and the Sabers defeat the Maddogs 1-0 in a pitchers duel at Recreation Park.

Dion struck out 8 Maddog batters, throwing a no hit shutout as he picks up his 2nd win of the season.

Dylan Dennis went the distance for Medford letting up 5 hits and only 1 run getting the tough luck loss.

The Sabers would load the bases in the third with a Joe Parlow single, Mike Robinson HBP, and a Stefan Botarelli Single. When Ryan Flanagan would draw a clutch RBI walk for the games only run.

Nick Schauwecker had 2 hits for Stoneham.

Hats off to catcher Travis Adams for calling a great game behind the plate for Stoneham.
