In the 33rd and final game of the season the Astros sent Joey "Eyeball" Ortiz to the mound for his first start of the season. Ortiz responded with a complete game victory, scattering 5 hits and giving up 4 runs, only 2 earned and striking out 6. Offensively Brad "The Beard" Presler and Rommel Peguero had 2 doubles each, and Eddy Morrobel Castillo and Presler had 3 RBI each. Coach Carl Rodriguez scored the game winning run after taking one off the back of the head and stealing second base, which is about as rare as Big Papi swiping a bag! The Astros finish up the season with a 13-19-1 record. Certainly not the end result we were hoping for, but this team has increased its win total for the 3rd consecutive season, and beat some great teams along the way! The future looks bright....until next year.........

Sean Hannon was the story for the Knights going 5 strong innings only allowing 1 run (unearned) on 3 hits keeping the Dodgers bats off balance all game. The Knights struck right away against Kyle Breidenstine collecting 2 runs on 4 hits in the first inning. The Dodgers cut the lead in the 4th scoring an unearned run to make the score 2 - 1. The Knights would add insurance in the 5th on a Brad Tardugno RBI single, his second on the day. Kenny Luongo would pitch a perfect 6th to hold the lead for closer Corey Laliberte, who pitch a 1-2-3, 7th inning for his 3rd save. Knights win 3 - 1.

Bulldogs defeat Dodgers 7-5 in a thriller at Ronan Park. Mark Dorso pitched a gutsy 5.2 innings to keep the Bulldogs alive. Evan Hafferman was able to get the key out in the 6th inning to keep the scored tied at 5 going into the 7th. Then with the bases loaded and 2 outs in the top of the 7th Mike Oliveira delivered a 2 run double to score Aramis Velez and Rob Marks.This put the Bulldogs up 7-5. Marks had a huge day going 3-4 with 2RS, Double and a stolen base. The Dodgers didn't go down without a fight. They loaded the bases with 2 outs in the bottom of the 7th, but Troy Thibodeau reared back on a 3-2 count and struck out the last Dodger batter swinging to preserve the victory and keep the Bulldogs playoff hopes alive.

The Dodger bats stay red hot in a huge win over the Beacons on a sticky Wednesday night at Mcconnell. With 3 runs in each of the first 3 innings the Dodgers grabbed an early 9-0 lead off Dubela. Chris Michienzi kept the potent Beacon lineup off balance through 3, but couldn't hold as they broke through for 4 runs in the 4th and the 5th. The Dodgers plate 5 runs in the the 5th to blow the game open and needed every run as Mckay made a game of it with 3 more runs in the 7th. Dougie "Fresh" English grinded through the last 3 innings to get the win for the Dodgers. Huge 3 hit games for Billig, Ryan and Foote. Ryan apparently had an epiphany early in the game and after referring to himself in the 3rd person multiple times, promptly homered past a diving CF for his first career YBL HR. Foote also had a mammoth homer to right. Tambling and Rokiki both homered for the Beacons and Caputo had 4 hits. Back to the grind.

Bobby Foote leads the Dodgers going 1-for-3 with 3 runs and 4 RBI, 2 of which on a bomb triple to right center in the 3rd. "OneArm" Cahill goes 2-for-4 with 3 RBI and 2 steals. Jerrad Ryan returns to the lineup pale and sweaty, with a run and some solid D at 2nd. For the A's, Kevin White knocks in a pair in the 4th to keep the game interesting. Down 10-4 in the 7th, the Athletics display a Zen-like patience and an unbreakable skeletal structure, scoring 3 on 4 walks and 2 HBP.

After what felt like 3 months of rainouts, the Dodgers and Astros finally got back on the dimaond to play some baseball. Kyle "Moose" Breidenstine throws 6 strong for his 2nd win of the season, giving up 2 runs. The Dodgers put up 10 hits coming from all over the lineup. Jonny "Blaze" Edwards led the attack with a 2-for-4 day and 3 RBI. Jerrad Ryan also had 2 hits and a steal. In the field, Mike Cosenza patrolled the hot corner, absolutely robbing Francis Reyes of a pair of hits with a diving stop down the line and another play ranging into his hole.
