In a rematch of last year's 1st round series, these 2 teams picked up right where they left off, battling back and forth in another nailbiter. Both teams had uncharacteristic defensive jitters, which cost them both some runs, but Clanger and Smitty both battled the whole night.

A's jump out to a 2-0 lead on a wild pitch and a passed ball. Braves answer in the next frame with 4 runs, capped by a tremendous 3-run double to left center by Uberti.

The A's chipped away with another run in the 4th, and tied it up in the 6th on a mammoth HR to left by Katsi.

In the top of the 7th, after two quick outs, Teddy Ballgame draws a walk, Robb singles, and Uberti comes up huge again with an RBI single to right, giving them the 5-4 lead.

The A's put men on 1st & 3rd in the 7th, but Smitty induces a 4-3 grounder to end the game.

A's would jump up to 3-0 lead after 2in. Doyle was dealing through 5 and kept the Rockies bats silent allowing 1 hit thru 5, but the Rockies would breakthrough with a run in the 6th. Clang would relieve Doyle in the 7th and was greeted by a leadoff double from Iafolla. Glavin then followed with a walk and Laliberte would lay down the sacrifice bunt to move runners to 2nd and 3rd. Sinopoli cuts the lead in half on a sac-fly scoring Iafolla and sets the stage for Adam Del Rio. Deli comes up big and delivers the big 2 out hit to tie the game, knocking in Glavin.

Matt Magazine would hold the A's at bay in the 7th to push the game to extras. Rodriguez would start the top of the 8th with a HBP and steal 2nd. Chris Santosuosso would single down the right field line to score Lou, which would end up being the GWRBI as Matt Vezina picks up the save to complete the come from behind win for the Rockies.

Kyle Power stepped up large and tossed a one hitter thru 6IP and Jaky Higgins saved the day in the bottom of the 7th to help lead the Beacons to thier 2nd win of the season.

Drew Tambling (3-4) smashed a huge solo homer over everything to tie it in the top of the 7th. A's pitching walked two and hit two to allow the winning run to cross in that stanza.

Classic Al Thomas v McKay Club battle from first pitch to last. Brendan Wheeler almost sent Jaky Higgins and Dave McKay to the EW as he smashed a monster line drive that Jaky snared around his mug and tossed to 2nd base for a double play to save the game. WEW! That's why we do this thing every year. Two classy groups of kids knocking heads and playing hard-nosed baseball! NO BS!
