Andre wins the 2012 Intercity League championship with a 3-0 victory over Lexington Sunday afternoon at Lexington High School.
The Chiefs scored the only run they would need in the first. Hal Landers had a leadoff single to start the game. Tony Deshler sacrificed Landers to second and Juan Portes doubled to left to drive in Landers.
Jared Freni won his second game of the finals and his second shutout. He scattered six hits, struck out four and walked one. He went 3-0 in the playoffs.
Brett Fistes started for Lexington and took the loss. In five innings he gave up five hits, three runs, one earned and struck out five.
Portes had two doubles, an RBI and run scored for the Chiefs. Mike Baillargeon doubled and had a sacrifice fly in the sixth.
Jeff Vigurs and Joe Eramo each had two hits for Lexington.
Congratulations to the Chiefs for winning the 2012 ICL championship.

Lexington sent the finals to a game five with a 2-0 win Friday night at Maplewood Field at Malden Catholic to tie the series at 2-2.
Jason Twomley homered to right center in the third for the only run Lexington would need. His sacrifice fly in the seventh scored Dave Ahern (single) with the insurance run.
Steve Bodnar, 2-0, tossed the six-hit complete game shutout. He got 16 ground ball out and his infield turned three double plays in the first four innings.
Mike Andre had two hits for the Chiefs.
Matt DiCato took the loss in his first playoff appearance this season. In seven innings he gave up five hits, walked one and struck out six.
Game five is Sunday in Lexington at 5:00 p.m.

Lexington stays alive with a 5-1 win at Lexington High School Thursday night.
Joe Eramo drove in three runs, two with a single in the fourth, and played outstanding defense to lead the Blue Sox to the win.
Jason Twomley tied the game in the fourth with a single that drove in Dan Graham (double). Dan Capra singled in a run and Eramo followed with his two-run single.
Eramo closed out the scoring with an RBI single scoring Capra (double).
Matt Karis throw a 60 pitch complete game. He walked none and struck out three.
Andre scored on Jeff Bercume's double play that brought in Tony Deshler.
Mike DiCato took the loss in a complete game effort. He walked three and struck out five.

Mike Andre's two-out, two-run single gave the Chiefs a walk-off 3-2 win Wednesday night at Malden Catholic and a 2-0 lead in the best of five finals.
Dave Ahern had powered Lexington to a 2-0 lead with a home to center in the second inning and an RBI single in the fourth that drove in Steve Gath.
Tim Dunphy got the win going the distance for the Chiefs. He struck out five and walked two.
Drew Brzozowski took the loss for Lexington. He walked one and struck out five including the side in the fifth.

Andre takes game one of the final 2-0 in Lexington Tuesday night.
Jared Freni, 2-0, struck out 12 in a complete game four hitter. He struck out 10 in his first start in the postseason, a complete game one-hitter over Watertown.
Hal Landers walked to start the game, went to third on a single by Tony Deshler. Landers scored on a passed ball for the only run Andre would need.
In the seventh Juan Portes singled with two outs, his third hit of the game. He stole second to move into scoring position. Portes scored on a throwing error for the insurance run.
Brett Fistes started for Lexington and went the distance. He struck out five and walked one.

Lexington advances to the finals for a sixth straight season with a 4-2 win at Reading Sunday afternoon and a sweep of semifinals.
Lexington scored twice in first without as Reading starter Brian O'Neil hit three batters, including Dave Ahern to bring in a run. Jason Twomley drove in the second run with an infield out.
The Blue Sox added two more in the second getting an RBI double from Justin Wright and a run on an infield out. Two more hit batters contributed to the rally.
Reading scored twice in the second on a two-run double by Alex Fischer.
Mike O'Brien pitched six innings for the win. He gave up three hits and struck out five. Brett Fistes picked his second save of the series.
O'Neil pitched five innings and took the loss. He gave up two hits, four runs, walked two, struck out two and hit five batters.
Lexington will face Andre for the second straight season in the finals on Tuesday night at Lexington at 8:00 p.m.

Zak Talis' RBI ground out made it 6-3 in the fifth.

Lexington takes game one of the semifinal series with a 6-5 win over Reading.
Justin Wright closed out the scoring in the second with a two-run double. Jason Twomley (walk), Jack Laurendeau (Sac Fly) and Dan Capra (single) drove in the first three runs. Twomley scored from third on an infield error in the fourth for the game winner.
Steve Buitkus lead the Reading offense with three hits, two runs and a RBI.
Matt Karis went six innings for the win. Brett Fistes closed out the seventh for the save.
Brian Pedrotti took the loss.

Bill Cataldo had four hits and three rbi's (ten hits in the three game series). Nick Conti had three hits and three rbi's. Trevor Manzi gave the Bulldogs the lead with a two run double in the sixth inning.

Brian O'Neil allowed five hits over six innings for the win.
