Cannon's defense steps up in Game 5 and the bats came alive in the fourth to give Hueston all the run support he would need. Big multi hit games by Kiley, Colon, and Clemente helped push runs across and get Cannon to game 6.
Hueston throws a CG gem with 7 k's. |

Carlson pitches well and plays good defense to take game 3. Cannon keeps the game close even with their mistakes and the calls that never seemed to go their way. |

Cannon hopped on the first of 5 Carlson pitchers for 3 runs in the second with five hits and a sac fly. Picked up another run in the fourth after Flannery's (2-3, on base 4 times) lead off double.
Rojas then makes it interesting for about 8 minutes with a bases clearing double in the 5th to get Carlson within 1. Cannon doesn't give it a chance as they pounce for 6 runs right away. Big hits by Newton, Davis (2-2, 3 rbi, on base all 5 times), Greskoff and Sabatino push the game out of reach.

Steve Hueston throws a gem to get Cannon into the championship series. Great defense by Newton and Sabatino all game kept any Palmer rally at bay.
Cannon gets the first run in the fourth on Flannery's sac fly that drove in Clemente (2-3, double). In the fifth, after singles by Davis and Boek, Greskoff (2-3, 2 doubles) bombs a 3-0 pitch from Henry into right center plating 2 runs and giving a huge cushion.
Songin reaches on an error in the 6th and scores their only run on Alexopolous' double.
We'll see if Hueston can do it again tonight.

Cannon took control of the game in the 2nd ining until Palmer bats came alive like they have all season and smacked around Cannon pitching. Palmer's come back was highlighted by JP Songin's game tying bases clearing triple that was followed by the game winning line shot by catcher Shane Strande in the bottom of the 6th. Tony Trafecanty came in and closed the door for Palmer...It comes down to one game to face Calson in the finals. For once Palmer actually hit the ball this series. |

Another battle as palmer jumped out to a lead in the fourth. Cannon bounces back to take the lead on 5 hits and rbi's by Sabatino, Newton, and Flannery.
Nicholson and Alexopolous start the 5th by reaching on an error and a hit and Stande drives in a run bringing a pitching change for Cannon. With two outs, Phelan gets a key hit to left to give the lead back to Palmer.
Sabatino(3-3,two runs)leads off the 6th by beating out a hit. The ensuing throw goes out of play and a fielders choice moves him to 3rd. He was then able to beat out a grounder for a close play at the plate to tie the game. Newton advanced to second on the play and then promptly stole third. Colon walks and then steals second. Mccue gets a big hit to drive in Newton and put Cannon ahead. With the bases loaded, Greskoff (3-4) drives in the insurance run. Volante comes back out for the 7th and closes the door. |

Cannon jumps out early but can't hold the lead after a few bloop hits that cost someone a lot of money to buy and a few errors. A late game rally fell short with the tying run stuck on third with one out. |

An offensive onslaught in the 7th solidified Cannon's spot in the playoffs for the first time in team history. After a shaky first, Campion settled down for the CG win and kept the ADSL bats quiet.
Blandino pitched great for ADSL and their defense made great plays as Cannon was always leaving runners on base. But in the 7th, Greskoff led off with a triple, Clemente (3-4, double, triple) walked and Kiley singled. Then singles by Flannery,, Newton, McCue, and Davis broke it all open.
In other news, Newton makes a diving stab at a line drive in the hole that should earn him an ESPY nod.
