A's jumped out to a 7-0 lead and were looking to sweep in the sweltering heat at Edgars, but the Vipers wouldn't quit and came back to tie the game. Outstanding job in relief by Mick O'Brien who shut the door on the A's, allowing the Vipers to come back. Billy Rolls had 2 hits and 3 rbi in game, Scotty Sack & Rich Winant each had 2 hits for Vipers. Sweeney had 11 Ks for the A's and Tony Catalano & Cavalho had 2 hits each for A's.
