Steve Lapham throws a 1 hit gem to keep the Vipers season alive and force a game 3. He also struck out 7 while walking 2 and a hit batsmen.
The offence was lead by Mike Connolly going 3-4 with a solo blast to start the scoring in the second inning, Darwin Hernandez with 3 hits, Jose Teledano (2B, 2RBI, SB) and Mike Langston (2R) also had 2 hits each and were on base all night.
The defense was perfect on the night also led by Connolly with 6 involved putouts including 2 diving stops and a nice backhanded play in the hole to get the force at second. |

Troup leads Brockton. Troup allowed 2 hits in the 7th inning that were the only 2 hits that he gave up for the game. He also struck out 9 batters. Troup drove in 3 runs with a triple and a double. Bob Piekarski drove in the other 2 runs. Jim Sweeney and Tony Catalano also had 2 hits. All-in-all, it was a good game. :) |
