Lochiatto pitches a gem and the Braves bang out 10 hits to defeat the East Boston Knights. Braves Evan Hudson had himself a day going 3-4, R, 3 RBI.

Offensively for the Knights, McBride was perfect at the dish going 2-2 and DiNapoli smacked a triple to deep left.

Web gem of the night came in the 3rd as the Knights Higgins drops a great bunt down the 3rd base line but charging at full speed, Cashman bare hands the ball and guns down Higgins at first.

Will Clang tossed 6 solid innings of 5-hit ball, allowing 2 unearned runs as the A's held off a late comeback by the Knights for a 6-4 win.

Steve Lambert led off the game with a homerun to set the pace, and added an rbi single, while Peder von Harten ripped a 2-run single, John Kostas added 3 hits and Brendan Wheeler doubled and singled for the A's.

Aidan Powers shook off some rust to hurl the final frame, allowing 2 unearned runs before closing the door.

Eaton pitched well in defeat for the Knights, striking out 9, while Ace DiNapoli reached base 4 times.

DORCHESTER, MA.............Knights beat Dodgers in battle of division rivals fighting for a playoff spot. Josh Valerio took the hill for Eastie and gutted out a complete game victory on 123 pitches. The offense did most of its damage in the 4th scoring 5 runs capped by extra base hits by Omar Ortiz and Moises Maza to take a 6 to 0 lead. The dodgers did not quit scoring 3 runs in the bottom of the fram and plating 2 more in the 5th. Valerio then clamped down to finish off the game and the Dodgers but not without a fight. The Dodgers left runners on base in both the 6th and 7th but Josh Valerio rose to the occasion to slam the door shut for the 6 to 5 victory.

Sox hold on to win their fourth game in a row Eddie Samp goes the distance to pick up his first win of the season. Chris Brown homered to lead off the second inning, while Colin Riggs and Marc Massarotti chipped in with two hits each.

Wojick went the distance for East Boston and pitched well despite picking up the loss. Offensively DiNapoli and McBride had two hits each.

Braves steal one from the Knights. Knights score 2 in the first on 3 hits and 2 Braves errors. Braves get one back in the bottom half of the inning on a Lee RBI double. It remained like that until the the 6th. Braves get runners on the corners with 2 outs when Caminiti sends a fly ball to left-center. The ball drops to the ground as the Knight's outfielders collide scoring both Braves runners to take the lead.

Lankarge gets his 3rd straight win allowing 1 ER, 7 H, 3 K, BB while Eaton gets the tough luck loss for the Knights going the distance (5 H, 1 ER, 6 K, 2 BB).

SOUTH END, MA.......The East Boston Knights pound out 15 runs on 12 hits as the offense provided the sparks on this hot and humid night in the South End. Knights starter Sean Hannon was sharp allowing only 1 earned run while taking a no hitter thru the 4th inning. Things got interesting in the 4th when both benches emptied after Moises Maza ran into catcher Carl Rodriguez trying to score form 3rd. Tyler Higgins paid the price by getting booted by the home plate umpire and left the Knights without thier leadoff hitter. The Knights responded with a thud. With 2 outs in the 4th Chris Dowd reached on a fielders choice and after a steal Omar Ortiz hit a single to take a 3 to 1 lead. The Knights went on to score 9 more runs all with TWO outs to take a commanding lead. The Knights would add 3 in the 6th to make it a 15 to 3 final.

DORCHESTER, MA......The Knights playoff push continues. The sophomore team continues to battle and play tight playoff type games down the stretch. Branden Eaton had the rock in this one and did not disappoint. He led the Knights the whole way not allowing an earned run while striking out 8 Dodgers without a walk. The offense woke up with 2 hits each by thier top four hitters (Higgins, Harris, Dowd and Ortiz) to set the pace for the Knights. Clutch hitting and an all around team effort got the job done for Eastie.

Finally getting back in the win column behind a solid pitching performance behind Rob "meat" Cahill. Brendon "the jet" Klaes had his first triple of the season. Andrew larocque reached all 4 times with a stolen base and a web gem play at third. Saints look forward to the home opener at the friendly confines of Ronan park tomorrow with none other than Tim "update" Dacey. Free Dan Zakrzwski bobble heads to the first three fans. SOUTH BOSTON, MA....The East Boston Knights win a close one against the Saints at King Field. Knights starter Branden Eaton was sharp in this one going all seven innings for the win. Tyler Higgins got the offense going for the Knights in the 1st with a single and added to his stolen base lead to set up a sac fly from Chris Dowd to give the Knights a 1 - 0 lead. The Saints would answer back in the bottom of the inning with a Steve Busby homerun that knotted the game at 2. The score would stay that way until the 6th when Chris Dowd stepped to the plate and launched his 4th Yawkey League homerun to give the Knights a 2 - 1 lead. The Saints did not go away however, in the bottom of the 7th with runners on first and second with two out, Southies Larocque singled to left and Chris Dowd fired a strike to 3b Ace DiNapoli who relayed the ball home for the final out of the game.

Eastie and Southie will do it again on Monday night in Eastie

DORCHESTER, MA.....The East Boston Knights defeat the Revere Rockies 2 to 1 in a crisp played game between both teams. The Knights rode the arm of Josh Valerio who threw a 4 hit gem and outdueled Rockies hurler Rich Wlodarczyk who threw a gem of his own. The Knights plated a run in the first on an Omar Ortiz single to right that scored Tyler Higgins. Higgins, set up the run by stealing his league leading 15th base. The Knights scored another in the 4th on a Ben McBride double that scored Ace DiNapoli from first that gave the Knights a 2 - 0 advantage. The Rockies answered in the 5th with a run of thier own and that's all they would score. The Rockies made it interesting in the 7th with the tying run at 2nd with 2 outs but Josh Valerio shut the door and preserved the victory for the Knights. Valerio moves to 2 - 0 on the season.

The Dodgers finally busted out of their scoring slump against a tough East Boston squad and pitcher. Ryan, Cosenza, Grimes and Villalobos each scored 2 runs, and Jerrad Ryan also smoked a big 2-run double in the 5th to provide insurance, as well as to ease the pain of being the team waterboy next time out. On the hill, "Moose" Breidenstine threw 6 solid innings of 3-hit and 1-run ball for his second win of the season.

EAST BOSTON, MA....The East Boston Knights stage another late inning comeback and steal a victory from the South End Astros. Danny Gomez took the ball for the hometown team and could not get into a groove but the Knights were determined to win anyway. Down 7 to 2 in the 5th The Knights scored 2 runs to cut the lead to 3 on an Omar Ortiz double. Then came the fireworks. Leadoff hitter Tyler Higgins hit a 2 out 3 run homerun that tied the game at 7. Knights relief pitcher Josn Valerio was spectacular in his 2 innings, notably getting out of a jam in the 7th. With runners on 1st and 3rd and no out he picked off the runner at 1st and retired the next 2 Astros to get out of the jam. Then it was Chris Dowds turn to be the hero. Leading off the inning Dowd took a 3-1 fastball and turned on it giving the Knights the walkoff victory!

EAST BOSTON, MA......The Knights were down 5 to 1 after starter Steve Maycock alllowed a grand slam to give the Minutemen a big advantage, but the Knights picked away. Relief pitcher Justin Wojcik took the ball and did not allow a hit through his 3 and 2/3 innings to keep the deficit at 4. The Knights answered back with 3 runs in the bottom of the 3rd on another monster blast by Juan Rosario that trimmed the lead to 1. The Knights went on to score single runs in the 4th and 5th to take the lead and it was a lead they would not relinquish. In the 6th they plated 2 more runs for insurance on a triple by Rosario that was set up by singles from Ace Dinapoli and Jess Stanley. Rosario went 3 for 4 with 2 runs, 5 rbi and a homerun going a double shy of the cycle. He now leads the YBL with 4hrs and 15rbi. Branden Eaton came in and slammed the door shut in the 7th for his first ever Yawkey League save.

Bryan Curran took the hill for the first time this season and threw to backup catcher Rob Lerro to earn an outstanding victory against a tough East Boston team on their turf. The Beacons were shorthanded, but once again displayed the depth and versatility of their roster with runs plated by YBL rookies, Kyle Power (triple), Kenny Carberry (BB, SB) and Ezra Josephson (2H, 2RBI) who joined Curran (2-3, 2B, RBI, 2SB, HBP) to complete a 4-3 win and extend the McKay Club winning streak to 7 as the Beacons improve to 8-2.

Jake Stewart makes a last minute emergency start. Stew pitched 2 scoreless until Steve Hueston took over. Hueston was very sharp, working fast and throwing 5 scoreless for the win.

Dakota Happas has 2 hits and 2 steals. Geoff Lopes was 2-3 with a 2B. Jake Christman is heating up going 3-4 with 2 ribs and Rob Linn added another 2 run double for the second night in a row.

For the Knights, Higgins has 2 hits and 2 steals.

Minutemen cannot play soon enough and go again Thursday and Friday at Rogers.

A good back and forth ball game in East Boston tonight. Mike Isaia making his second emergency start in a week was key in the victory. The big hit was a two-out bases clearing double by Adam Morgan plating three runs and giving the Hornets a 5-4 lead in the top of the fourth.

Four Hornets had two hits in the eleven hit attack, Dave Clarke, Mike Bivas, Chris Ferland and Gary Kaye.

For the Knights, Ace DiNapoli, Chris Dowd and Geoff Harris all had two hits.

Ben Johnson recorded his second save in as many nights.

The Stoneham Sabers Pick up their second win of the season against the East Boston Knights Thursday night.

Sam Cummings goes all the way and earns his second win of the season. Letting up only 1 earned run and striking out 8 East Boston Batters on the night.

The Stoneham offence had nine hits, Colucci, Flanagan, Robinson, and Whittet all had multi-hit games. Zelnick picking up the other. Robinson had 2 clutch RBIS with an opposite field line drive in the top of third. Camelios patience at the plate throughout the game also earned him 2 RBIS for the night. Burkholder, Colucci, Russo and Whittet also had an RBI a piece.

Chris Dowd led the Knights offence going four for four on the night.

EAST BOSTON,MA.......The East Boston Knights early sucess continues as the hometown team beats the Braves 10 to 1. The Knights took an early lead scraping together a couple of runs in the bottom of the 1st to take a 2 -0 lead. Knights starter Branden Eaton was in control from the start striking out 10 Braves in 5 innings. Eaton hurled his way through the first 3 and 2/3 innings not allowing a hit and running the Knights hitless inning streak to 13 and 1/3 innings. The Knights exploded for 7 runs in the 3rd inning on 3 homeruns including a Grand Slam by Ace DiNapoli. The Knights hit 4 homeruns (Dowd 2, Harris, and DiNapoli) in all capped by a solo shot in the 7th from Chris Dowd. Branden Eaton (1-0) earns his first Knights victory allowing only 2 hits and 1ER though 5 strong innings before giving way to Kenny Layton who finished the game for the Knights.

MEDFORD, MA..........It was truly Judgment Day for the Yawkey League Knights of East Boston! Fireballer Sean Hannon (2-0), pitched a complete game, no-hitter on Saturday, May 21, 2011 against the Medford Maddogs at Playstead Park . Hannon was sharp from the start going perfect through 3 innings. A walk in the 4th blew Hannons bid for a perfect game, but Hannon only got stronger with each pitch thereafter. Two Maddog runners reached 2nd base but never threatened beyond that. Hannon threw 74 pitches with 7 K, 1 BB, 1 E, and faced 2 Maddog batters over the minimum.


Geoff Harris, started the Knights rally with a double, scoring catcher Juan Rosario in the 4th inning. Knights star Rosario added to his RBI total knocking in a 5th inning run to give the Knights a 2-0 lead. Rosario now leads the YBL with 5 RBI

STONEHAM, MA....The Knights opened the 2011 YBL season with a solid victory over the expansion Stoneham Sabers. Sean Hannon got the start for the Knights and didn't disappoint in his YBL debut. Hannon earned his first victory of his YBL career, striking out 7 and allowing only 2 hits over 5 innings. The offense had opportunities early but couldn't capitalize until the 5th when newcomer Juan Rosario hit a 3 run homerun to take a 4-0 lead. Rosario would later drive in another run with a sacrifice fly to finish his day with 4 RBI. Josh Valerio came in to finish the game and secure the 5 to 2 victory for the Knights. Tyler Higgins added 2 hits for East Boston and J Zelnick led Stoneham with 2 hits of his own. Next up for the Knights Monday night at 8PM in East Boston for the home opener vs. The Brighton Minutemen.
