Babb goes 6 and gets the win, Wisner to close it down in the seventh to give Somerville the sweep. Driscoll, Scioli, and Dziuba had 2 RBI a piece. Dziuba hit a HR. Driscoll and Dziuba went a combined 15-21 with 8 runs scored and 11 RBI this series.

Dziuba 8-11 with a homer and 8 RBI is the MVP of the series.

Foundas vs. Middleton at St. Pete's. Somerville jumps out in the first with 5 runs on 7 hits. Middleton settled in and only let up one more run in the 4th but the 6 was enough. Dziuba led the way offensively with a 2-3 night driving in 3. Foundas went 5, Dumas pitched the sixth and Wisner closed it down in the seventh. Hats off to the Somerville staff tonight, as all three battled a tough Medford lineup all night. Game 3 set to go at Trum tomorrow night 8pm start.

Marc DesRoches starts the series off throwing 5 strong innings allowing only one hit. Jay Wisner throws 2 strong innings to follow to put Somerville up 1-0 in the series. Justin Crisafulli lead the offense with a long homerun and drove in 4 on the night. Teddy Dziuba had a 3-4 night driving in 3 and Bernie Driscoll had a 3-4 night scoring 3 runs. Ryan Flanagan goes the distance to help the Sabers pick up their 11th win of the season.

Angelo Colucci's game winning RBI in the bottom of the third to score Sean Ruderman gave the Sabers enough to defeat the Maddogs. Kris Camelio had a clutch RBI bunt to to tie the game in the bottom of the first. Ryan Flanagan had the first RBI of the game. Greg Dubela also had a couple of hits for the Sabers.

Ryan Flanagan pitched yet another great game for Stoneham. Picking up his fourth win of the season. Flanagan struck out 9 Maddog batters and only let up four hits through 7 innings. Flanagan's offense stayed hot as it has all season and got a couple of hits and a RBI of his own.

Zelnick stayed sharp at shortstop for Stoneham.

Matt Nicholson earns the victory with an 82 pitch shut out. The Sox hits were spread out amongst six players with Kyle Ross collecting two.

Zach Rubin pitched well going the distance for Medford, while Greg Wilson and Matt Delany each had two hits.

The Maddogs woke up the bats tonight. DH, Talal Saleh had 4 hits, Marty Dunlap had 3 hits and scored twice, Matt Mahoney had 3 hits, including his first home run of the season. Buddy Hanley had 2 hits and 4 RBI's. Both Delaney brothers, Matt and Mike each had two hits.

Dave "Satchel Paige" Hanley went 0 for 4, but had a walk and knocked in a run, not bad at 4 weeks shy of 54.

Once again Mike "The Horse" Victory went the distance striking out 6 along the way.

The Beacons rebounded after Sunday's loss to post their 25th win of the season. Thomas Fitzpatrick had a night for himself on the mound with 4 shutout innings and 7 K's while Lippi and Pelletier finished it off with a combined two scoreless.

The Beacons offense exploded with 4 triples in the 2nd, a 3-4 night by the league leader in almost everything (Curran), 2-3 with extra bases (Barthel), 2-3 with a 3B (McKay) and 2-4 (Mattei and Lerro) to plate 10 and secure the #1 seed in the 2011 Yawkey League playoffs.

This one started by Jackie Owens, "1, 2, 3...KILL" for our teammate and the Nathan Horton of the McKay Club, Connor Reinfurt!

Down 3-0 going into the 7th the Maddogs fought all the way back scoring 5 times to take the win.

Brad McLean went the distance in a gutty performance, striking out 8, walking 2 and allowing only 5 hits and 1 earned run.

Pete Byron led the defense with two hits and two walks. Matt Delaney also had two hits.

Anderson pitched very well for Savin Hill striking out 11.

The Maddogs jumped on the back of their pitchers once again and won their 7th game of the season by one run.

Blaine McLean went 5 and 1/3 and picked up his 3rd win of the season. Mike, The Horse, Victory picked up the save pitching the final inning and 2/3's.

Josh,The Hitdog,Rodriguez went 2-2 with a double to lead the offense.

Alex Criscuolo and Zach Rubin hooked up in a pitcher's duel Saturday afternoon at Playstead Park.

Sean Gordan's rbi single drew first blood in the top of the 4th, but Paul Jaglowski's 2-run double in the bottom on the inning put the Maddogs ahead until the 7th.

After Mike Bivas lead off the inning by getting hit by the pitch, Dave Clarke hit a ball into the hole at short. The throw to second ended up in right field and the runners at 2nd and 3rd base with no outs. After single to tie the game by Pat McClay and a double by Gary Kaye to take the lead, the Hornet bats didn't stop til 6 runs had crossed the plate. The Maddogs rallied with 3 of their own in the bottom of the inning, but closer Matt Chase closed the door.

Mike Victory pitched well into the 5th but got no defensive support (6 errors). Brad Mclean came in and ended the final 2 and 2/3's with 8 K's to record his second win of the season.

The offense was sparked by the Delaney brothers. Matt had two hits and two RBI's while Mike finished the night with three hits and two RBI's.

Steve Lambert's 2-run double capped a 4-run 4th inning and put the A's in front for good as Al Thomas defeated Medford 7-3.

Lambert, Bill Donahue and Luke Regan each had 2 hits to lead the offense, while Chris McDonough, Hajjar, Muse and von Harten (2b, 2 rbi) added a hit apiece.

Dan Gaughan toughed out 4 innings in the heat for the win, while Matt McDougall blanked Medford for 3 innings to pick up the save.

Sean Callahan ripped 3 hits for the Maddogs, while Buddy Hanley had a single and a sacrifice fly.

Tremendous pitcher's dual between Zach Rubin of the Medford Maddogs and Mike Cook of the Malden Bulldogs who both went the distance.

Both teams scoreless until the bottom of the 7th when Mark Brown lead off with a gap double to left for the Bulldogs. Pinch hitter Brad Tardugno was intentionally walked. Next batter was Luis (Spanish) Lara who remained hot with the bat and drove in the game's only run in walk off fashion.

An 11 inning pitcher's duel. Geoghan went 7 innings for South Boston allowing only 1 run. Tenney came in to pitch in the bottom of the 8th and held Medford for three innings before giving up the winning run in the 11th on a bases loaded single by Marty Dunlap.

Talal Saleh got the win after pitching a scoreless 11th inning. But the story tonight was Maddog pitcher Mike Victory. Victory pitched 10 innings, allowing only 1 run, striking out 9 and walking 4.

Wilson had 3 hits for Medford, Buddy Hanley and Matt Mahoney each had two hits.

Mike McCarthy picks up his 7th win on the season, Vogel earns the save. Del Rio picks up the 2 out GWRBI in the 5th.

Medford jumped out quick in the first on a 2R HR by Dunlap. Rockies cut the lead in half in the bottom of the inning, Aj Bucciarelli lead off with a single and eventually scored.

All was quiet until the 5th, when Bucciarelli on an 0-2 count worked an IF single and Laliberte followed with a double. With the IF in, Santousosso hit a high chopper that would score Booch to tie the game. Iafolla was intentionally walked to load the bases w 1 out. Middleton followed with a K, setting up the stage for Adam Del Rio, who with 2 outs, lined a single to right scoring Laliberte to give the Rockies the lead.

In the 6th Medford threatened to tie the game with a man on 2nd and 2 outs. Hanlee on a 3-2 count hit a single to center. Santosuosso charged hard and gunned down the tying run at the plate to preserve the win.

Bob Sinopoli picks his 1st win of the season striking out 12, retiring 9 in a row at one point and Adam Del Rio knocks 2 hits and picks up 2 RBIs on a double to deep center in the 3rd to lead the offense for the Rockies. Iafolla and Glavin pick up RBIs in the same innning to account for the Rockies 4 runs.

Medford scores 2 in the 6th to make things interesting, but Bobby Sinopoli mows down Medford 1,2,3 in the 7th striking out 2 to preserve the win.

Medford wins their 8th in a row in a wild one in Malden. After taking a 6 run lead Medford floundered in the last two innings, giving up 5 hits, while walking 2, hitting two and making an error. Malden staged a great comeback taking the lead in the top of the 7th by 2.

Medford got walks from Dunlap and Hanley to start the last of the 7th. Wilson followed with a single. After the next two batters went out Mike Delaney doubled to left for the walk off win.

Middleton picks up his 4th win of the season in relief and his 11th win in a row over the last two seasons.

Johnny Cunningham made the web gem of the game in the 3rd laying out in the hole at second and throwing to first from the prone position.

The Maddogs played two on Father's Day and won them both in walk-off fashion. Zach Rubin went the full 8 innings in the first game against the Minutemen, striking out 11 and recording his first win of the year. In the third inning the Dog's pitching staff gave up their first runs, both unearned after an infield error with two out, in 31 innings.

Dunlap and Callahan led the way offensively with 2 hits each. Jay Sablone singled with the bases loaded in the last of the 7th for the walk-off.

This was the 5th win in a row for the Dogs.

The defensive play of the game came in the 5th with two on and two out, Greg Wilson covered a lot of ground before laying out to snag a line drive off the bat of Ted Tracy.

This was the Dogs 4th win in a row.

Blaine McLean goes to 2-0 with a gutsy performance at Cleveland Circle. McLean went 6 innings, allowing only 4 hits, while walking only 1 and striking out 5. Blaine stranded runners on third base 3 times.

Mike Victory pitched the 7th inning, striking out the side.

The offense was led by the first four hitters in the line up. Dunlap, Cunningham, Matt Delaney and Hanley each had 2 hits. Mahoney also had a big two out single to drive in a run and Matt Taylor got into the hit column as well.

Farrell pitched well for South Boston after settling down after a rocky first inning.

Six Dogs had hits with Matt Delaney collecting two and Cunningham, Byron and Dunlap all hitting doubles.

Marty Dunlap played in his first game of the season after returning from Western Oklahoma State and winning the NJCAA DII National Championship. Dunlap scored 3 runs in the Championship game.

Tyler Middleton wins his first start of the season and Mike Victory closes the game by pitching the final two innings. Victory has pitched in 4 of the Maddogs first 5 games.

Everyone chipped in offensively, all nine starters reached via a hit or walk. The big hit was a two out, two run double by Mike Delaney in the 6th.

The Astros finally get their first W of the season behind 6.1 strong innings from staff ace Stevie Melo. Offensively the Astros got a 2 hit game from Vargas (2 RBI), Reyes (2 RBI), and Rodriguez (1 RBI). But the offensive star of the game was Jonathan Mateo going 4-5 with 2 doubles and 4 RBI.

The Sox scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh. Richie Joyce led off with a walk.

East Boston Knights Sean Hannon No-Hits Medford Maddogs

MEDFORD, MA..........It was truly Judgment Day for the Yawkey League Knights of East Boston! Fireballer Sean Hannon (2-0), pitched a complete game, no-hitter on Saturday, May 21, 2011 against the Medford Maddogs at Playstead Park . Hannon was sharp from the start going perfect through 3 innings. A walk in the 4th blew Hannons bid for a perfect game, but Hannon only got stronger with each pitch thereafter. Two Maddog runners reached 2nd base but never threatened beyond that. Hannon threw 74 pitches with 7 K, 1 BB, 1 E, and faced 2 Maddog batters over the minimum.


Geoff Harris, started the Knights rally with a double, scoring catcher Juan Rosario in the 4th inning. Knights star Rosario added to his RBI total knocking in a 5th inning run to give the Knights a 2-0 lead. Rosario now leads the YBL with 5 RBI
