McKay Club Beacons 5, Brighton Black Sox 1
Bryan Curran spanked a 2-out double in the 1st to start his 2-4 night, crossed the plate twice, and the Beacons never looked back in achieving win #22. Connor Reinfurt had a 3-4 night with 3 doubles and 3 RBI's to lead the offense. Jack Owens drove in Daniel Brien in the 5th on a double to right-center to stay hot in the lead-off spot.
Kyle Power earned his 3rd win and allowed just one hit through four complete innings before he was relieved by Kevin Loveless. Loveless threw to some familiar faces on the other side and kept the Black Sox relatively quiet until James Dalton came in to close out the 7th and seal win #22.
Next up: vs. Revere Rockies on Friday night at McConnell. Dalton on the bump and the Beacons are gearing up for playoff baseball. The goal is still to be met.

Ryan Flanagan throws a complete game shutout as the Sabers defeat the Black Sox 4-0.
Ryan Flanagan goes the distance for the Sabers picking up his first career Yawkey League win. Striking out eleven Brighton batters, and only letting up two hits...Flanagan also was spectacular at the plate, leading the Stoneham offense with three hits of his own and an insurance RBI in the top of the seventh.
Angelo Colucci's broken back single to RF brought in the game winning run for the Sabers. Aaron Whittet followed with a two RBI single to expand the Sabers lead.
On the defensive side, catcher Joe Russo had himself a ball game behind the plate. While Jake Zelnick continued to to make the hard plays at short shop.
Riggs and Reichmann had the only hits for the Black Sox.

Minutemen get back on track behind Jon Sargent. Sarg had 6 strikeouts and throws his 3rd complete game in as many starts for the win.
Offensively, Jake Christman reached safely 3 times while Colin Walsh and Eddie Pickett reached safely twice.
Speaking on Eddie Pickett, with runners on base for the Blacksox, a ball that was crushed and seemed destined for first base on the softball field at Rogers, would be incredibly tracked by Pick in what turned out to be an enormous out.

Aj Bucciarelli worked a walk, Laliberte followed with a single and Santosuosso picks up the big 2 out triple to score Booch and Laliberte.
Billy 'Shuffle Steps' Sinopoli goes 3-3 on the day for the Rocks. Sean Glavin has 2 hits, including a solo homerun to right center to lead off the 4th in. That is all that Woody would need as he was efficient on the bump. |

Brighton's Joe Gil went 4 for 4, but the big blow was a two out double by Colin Riggs in the 5th giving the Black Sox a 4-0 lead.
Savin Hill finally got to JT Ross for two in the 6th and tied it in the 7th. Freddi Carrera was 4 for 5 on the night.
Both team's relief pitchers were nasty. Brighton's Eddie Stamp struck out 2 and allowed only 1 hit in 2 innings. While Savin Hill's Mike Isaia and Ben Johnson threw 4 1/3 innings of two hit shutout baseball. |

South End played a solid game and were able to get runners on in both the sixth and seventh inning only to come up just short.
