Sean Sullivan after a rough 1st settle in to deliver a complete game win for Alibrandis!

Somerville defeats West Roxbury on a 3-run MISSLE to LF by Justin Crisafulli.(3 for 3)
Jon Morse and Alex Torres dueled all night for their clubs. Morse got relief help from Chris Foundas to record his first YBL playoff save for Alibrandis.
Somerville leads series 3-1.....

For the second nite in a row Somerville wins in their last AB with Teddy Dziuba driving in the winner.
Sean Sullivan out duel John Young of the Bluefish. Both hurlers spun a gem for their clubs.
Mike Maguire score the run for the bluefish and had the only extra base hit in the game.
Chad Conner and Dave Scioli had multi hit games for Alibrandis.

Somerville ties series 1-1 with a run in the top of the 8th on a base knock by Ted Dziuba scoring Marc DesRoches.
"Doc" was the story tonight going all 8 innings for Alibrandis in a must win situation.
Driscoll and Dziuba had multi hit games for Somerville.
Mike Maguire had two hits for the Bluefish. |

Somerville and Malden clashed at Trum Field Friday nite and put on a tremendous show of YBL baseball for a full Stadium!(Comcast Game)
Alibrandis got a quality start from Jon Morse plus clutch hits to prevail 5-3 and win the Series 3-1.
Series MVP Tony Tomaro came up huge for Somerville with 2 hits and scoring 2 from the leadoff position.
Marc DesRoches got the save facing the meat of Maldens lineup with runners in scoring postion.
Malden's MVP of the series Tom Englehardt hit a BOMB in the first that would of been out of any major league park.
Congrats to Malden on a fine season.

Malden Bulldogs 7, Somerville Alibrandis 5
Malden - The Malden Bulldogs stayed alive tonight as they came back and beat the Somerville Alibrandis, 7-5.
Tom Englehardt led the charge as he went 4-for-4, with a RBI and two runs scored. Brad Tardugno collected two hits and a RBI while scoring two runs. Despite going 0-for-2, Anthony Perry knocked in two runs with a walk and a hit by pitch.
Jason Paul picked up the win as he threw five solid innings, holding the Alibrandis to just four runs on four hits. Jon Shepard came in and threw two innings for his first save of the post-season.
These two teams will be at it again tomorrow night at Trum Field. Game time is set for 8 pm and will be televised locally on Comcast. |

Will Clang scattered 8 hits on route to a complete game 7-2 victory to put Al Thomas up 2-1 in the best-of-five series.
Steve Lambert had three hits, a stolen base and 2 rbi's while Chris McDonough (rbi double) and John Kostas (2-run triple) each had 2 hits to pace the offense.
John Young pitched well for the Bluefish, but was victimized by some costly errors. Resto, Perry and Billig collected 2 hits apiece for West Roxbury.
Condolences to Bluefish coach Mike Freire on the passing of his mother on Tuesday. Mike and his family are in the thoughts and prayers of the Al Thomas Club and the entire Yawkey League. |

Mitch Monke threw a 5-hit, complete game for the win as the A's put up 6 in the 5th to take game one of the semifinals 6-3 over West Roxbury.
Will Clang and Steve Lambert had rbi singles before Chris McDonough launched a 3-run homer to right. Solid defense again was the key for Al Thomas, as its only error was a ball that deflected off of a runner in an attempt to double him off first base after a line drive out to center.
Hordon and Laffin had 2 hits apiece to lead the Bluefish. |
