Brendan Wheeler (2 doubles, 5 rbi), Aidan Powers (4 rbi) and Steve Lambert (double, HR, 2 rbi, 2 sb)had 4 hits apiece to lead a 21-hit attack as the Al Thomas Club won its 5th game in 5 days with a 20-2 drubbing of East Boston.

Ryan Stoller picked up his league-leading 8th win and Matt Quigg tossed 2 shutout innings for the A's, while Chris McDonough also blasted a home run.

The Astros once again fell behind to the Knights but with the help of Roger Peguero (3-5, 3 doubles, RBI), Polisopoulos (2-4, 2RBI), and Carl Rodriguez (2-3, RBI), they were able to get their 10th win of the season, doubling their total from 2009.

The story on the mound was the bullpen. Ortiz threw 1.1 innings of shutout ball for the win, and Melo threw 3 scoreless innings for the save.

Bluefish survived the upset bid from the East Boston Knights by scoring 5 in the 6th to win 7-3. McBride kept the Bluefish off-balance all night long and may have deserved a better fate. Stanley and Layton, the 8 and 9 hitters reached base 5 of their 6 plate appearances and scored all 3 Knights runs.

After getting behind 4-0 in the 1st inning, the Astros bats came alive and with the help of a few Knights errors were able to bash out 12 hits and 16 runs on their way to their 9th win of the season.

The standouts offensively were Velez (3-4, 1 RBI) and Melo (2-3, 3 RBI). Polisopolus, Malagon(2), and C. Rodriguez also had RBI to help the Astros win this game.

Hornet Starter Matt Conroy left with a sore right bicep after pitching out of a bases loaded jam in the first. On came Monday night's starter Gordon Lescinskis to pitch though multiple jams of his own. All told the Knights stranded 14 runners on the night. Savin Hill outfielder Freddi Carrera hit a solo shot in the 5th. And, Eric MacIver recorded a tough 2-inning save.

EAST BOSTON, MA........In a game that was threatend all night by rain the East Boston Knights outlasted the Winter Hill Cyclones in extra innings. This game was a see-saw affair as both team fought back to keep things close, but in the end it was an Omar Ortiz walk-off single that sealed it for Eastie. Ben McBride pitched all 8 innings for the Knights and helped his own cause by going 3 for 4 with 3 RBI including belting a 3 run homerun in the bottom of the 3rd. For the Cyclones Angelo Scippa was a pain all night hitting 2 homeruns of his own including a solo shot to tie things at 5 in the top of the 6th. The Knights pounded out 14 hits in this one none but bigger than Ortiz in the eighth. With 2 outs and runners at 1st and 3rd Ortiz smacked a Kevin Loveless fastball into LF as Jose Polanco skipped home for the go ahead run.

After the 1st 5 innings East Boston was beating a dead and burried South End team 5-1. The sleeping giants woke up in the 6th inning with Solis and Malagon driving in runs and another scoring on an error to make it 5-4. In the 7th East Boston plated 2 more runs to make it 7-4 and the Astros job got a lot harder.

With 1 out in the 7th the Astros loaded the bases and set the stage for Angel Alvarado, who lined a triple into the right center field gap scoring all 3 base runners. Next up was red hot Gabriel Solis who lined a ball to left field for the game wiinning walk-off hit. This comeback wouldn't have been possible without great games from Stephen Lewis (1-2, 2 BB, 3 runs scored) and
Paulie P. (2-2, 2 2b, 2 BB).

East Boston, MA - Ken Olisky improved to 5-0 and Jon Shepard recorded his 5th save as Malden defeated the East Boston Knights, 4-1.

Olisky fired six strong innings, allowing one run on six hits while striking out six.

Mike Terrio went 1-for-4 with a RBI while Brian Duplissie and Brad Tardugno collected the other hits for the 18-3 Bulldogs.

Steve Maycock (L, 1-3) and Paul Asletine pitched for East Boston. Tyler Higgins paced the Knight offense as he went 2-for-3 with a walk.

Eastie beats Southie in Dorchester at Ronan Park on a hot and steamy night tying the season series at 1 a piece. Ben McBride started this one for the Knights allowing 5 runs, 4 of which were earned, 7 hits and struck out 8 pitching a complete game for the home team. He spotted the Saints to an early 3 - 0 lead, a lead that would last until the bottom of the 4th. The Knights exploded for 5 runs in that inning and leading the charge was Matt Perrin who stroked a double to right that scored a run and Jesse Stanley who slammed a single up the middle for another 2 runs. Southie had the tying runs on 2nd and 3rd in the 7th inning but Eastie held on as Ben McBride struck out Andrew Larocque to end the game.

Offensively for the Saints, Rob Stephenson had two hits.

Knights win again!

After losing 10 games to start the season the Knights have won two in a row. Starter Steve Maycock got the win for the Knights after pitching 5 strong innings. This game was close until the Knights opened it up in the 5th inning with 4 runs capped by a Steve Baldassari 3-run blast to give the Knights some breathing room. Pedro Flores came in, in the 6th and nailed down the team's first ever save.

For the Braves Evan Schein hit a triple in the 4th for the teams first hit resulting in an RBI.

Knights come through with their first Yawkey League victory.

Defense and pitching led the Knights to a 3 - 2 win over the Dodgers on a night that Josh Valerio would shine. Valerio pitched 7 strong innings allowing 1 earned run while striking out 6 to get the win for the home team. Offensively, Matt Perrin had a big 2 out single in the first to take an early 1-0 lead. The Knights scrapped together 2 more runs in the 2nd courtesy of a Geoff Harris fielders choice that scored both Jose Polanco and Joe Moritz (all the way from second base) to take a 3 - 2 lead they would not relinquish.

For the Dodgers, Kyle Breidenstine got through some early difficulties and settled down to keep the game close for the visitors.

The Braves and Knights locked up in a pitchers duel at EB Stadium. Both starters had no hit bids ended in the 6th. Knights starter Stephen Maycock started off wild in the 1st allowing 2 runs on 3BB but cruised for the next 4 innings. The Braves collected 4 consecutive singles in the 6th to break up the no-hit bid and add some insurance runs.

Braves starter Evan Schein's no-hit bid was also ended in the 6th on a Geoff Harris triple to right that got past Greeley on his dive attempt to try to preserve the no-no. Jose Polanco had the other hit for the Knights in the 7th.

Schein helped himself at the plate going 1-2, 2RBI, Run. Shaughnessy, Krieger and Mozill had the other hits for the Braves.

The Cyclones squandered a 4-0 lead and fell behind in the top of the 8th inning 6-4 before the heart of the order delivered in the bottom of the 8th for a come from behind victory. The game winning RBIs were delivered by Tuesday nights pitcher Sam Kennedy-Smith who singled in 2 runs off the left field fence to move the Cyclones to 2-0 on the young season. Rookie Manny Cabral picked up the victory for the Cyclones
