But the Story was Tyler Middleton. Tyler recorded his 6th win of the season going the distance allowing 4 hits (2 in the 7th) while walking 4 and striking out 5.

The Dogs "D" was perfect.

Kevin Christina throws a complete game 4 hitter, retiring 12 in a row at one point to help propel the Rockies to the Win.

Medford touched up K.C for a run in the 1st on a sac fly by Dilaney. K.C then settled down and retired the next 2 batters to get out of the inning w/o any further damage.

All was quiet for the Rockies bats until the 6th inning when w 1 out Nate Laliberte and Sean Glavin knocked back to back singles. Ned Coffee, pinch hitting for Greg Crossman, followed w a double to straight away centerfield to score Nate to tie the game. With the infield drawn in, Adam Del Rio smacks a line drive single to right center to score Glavin for the GWRBI.

Talal Saleh notched his first win of 2010 pitching until there were two out in the 7th. Reliever Mike McGlaughlin came on with bases loaded, after surrendering hits to Linn and Tenny he recorded the final out for his second save of the season.

Pete Byron, Rookie of the Year Candidate, had 4 hits, giving him 6 in the doubleheader to go along with 4 runs scored and 5 RBI.

Fellow Rookie of the Year Candidates, Marty Dunlap and Matt Delaney each had 3 hits with Delaney knocking in 5 and Dunlap knocking in 6 on the day.

Sox win second game in a row. Jared Rooney threw five solid innings to pick up his fourth win.

Offensively the Sox got 10 hits from 8 different players including two each from Nick Jones and Steve Tramontozzi.

After surrendering three runs in the first Blaine McLain settled in on a very warm day to give six solid innings for the Mad Dogs.

Offensively for Medford, Matt Delaney and Peter Byron had two hits each.

In the second game of the day the Maddogs made it 5 in a row without a loss. "Ace" Tyler Middleton got his 4th win of the Season going the distance, striking out 8, walking 1 and allowing one unearned run on 3 hits.

Catcher Marty Dunlap hit his second home run of the year and Pete Byron went 3 for 3, finishing the day with 4 hits, a walk, a hit-by-pitch and 4 runs scored.

Mike McGlaughlin closed it out. DH Sean Callahan hit a 2 run homer in the first inning and Center Fielder, Pete Byron scored 3 times.

This was a messy one under an ominous sky. Savin Hill battled back in the top of the 7th to plate 3 runs and take the lead on sloppy play by the Dogs.

Medford came back in their half of the 7th and tied the game on a wind blown single by Buddy Hanley, scoring Pete Byron, which was his third run scored on the night.

Blaine McLean for Medford and O'Connell for the Hornets both deserved better fates.

Sargeant Eamonn McDonough is back on leave and it's like he never left. The Big "E" Dog went the distance in his first YBL start since mid-'08. McDonough struck out 4 walked 2 and pitched out of jams all night.

Johnny Cunningham made a web gem at second base in the 5th and center fielder, Pete Byron, threw out a runner at the plate in the 4th to help Eamonn get the shutout.

Chris Wood had two hits and Matt Delaney went 3-4 to pace the offense.

Paul (3-0) scattered two hits over his five innings of work. Both Chris Dion and Jon Shepard pitched 1-2-3 innings to close out the victory.

Jonathan Pollard went 3-for-3 for the Bulldogs with a double and three RBIs. Known for his pitching, YBL Player of the Week, Ken Olisky came off the bench and was 2-for-2 with two runs scored.

Chris Santos and Matt Mahoney collected the hits for the 3-8 Maddogs.

After waiting a few extra days to open their season the Cyclones came out quick, taking advantage of walks and Medford miscues in the 1st and 2nd inning, posting 6 runs. Starter Sam Kennedy-Smith did the rest, going the distance striking out 12 while walking 7 and only surrendering 2 hits. Kennedy-Smith worked out of a few jams and the Cyclones played strong defense behind him to open the season with a victory.
