Sun, 25 July, 12:30PM, at Brighton - Cassidy (CCircle) (Game 2 of DH)
Wayland White Sox 15, Brockton Indians 2
Wayland makes it 6 wins in their last 7 games. Many stars of the offense, but two of note were Barry Kruse (4-4, 5 RBI), who had two more bombs that went for triples, and Chris Ronzano, who had two hits and an RBI but graciously agreed to take it all in stride. Sunghoi An finished his White Sox career with a victory; he will now get married, move to LA, and try to get on a reality show. He was a great teammate.
Game ended after 5 complete.

Waltham Red Sox 18, Brockton Indians 6
9am comes early in Brockton (especially if you're out til 4:30) and Waltham must have left their gloves at home so it's a good thing they brought the bats.
Countless errors and several non-error miscues might have made this one of the worse defensive games Waltham has ever played with the exception of a Colin Confoey diving catch in center and a nice running catch by Miguel Walker in left, but they did pack the bats.
Brockton had an early lead until the Waltham bats woke up. Dana Levensaler led the way going 4-5 and picked up the win on the hill and Mike Barthel had a multi hit game. |
